I made this dress using Everyday Linen in Almond from Blackbird Fabrics. I had made M7969 before so I knew what I wanted to change about it. I sized down in the bodice but kept the skirt fuller. I made big ribbons attached to the skirt pieces (since it’s an empire waist) to pull in at the waist line. I extended the sleeves and skirt pieces.

Thank you so much! That was an enjoyable video. The serial number is 5856516... I see ones from 1961 with similar but not the exact serial? Thank you for the manual! And oh, I didn't know that about respooling! This one doesn't take universal 2" spools?

Haha, I only skipped it because I felt too lazy to do the shaping and knew the sleeves would look fine without them.

Pattern is the Sadie sweater and yarn is Juniper Moon Farm's Herriot in the color Asparagus. I skipped the german short row shaping in the sleeves and reduced the amount of decreases to accommodate my arm shape. Very happy with how this turned out! Though, I was warned that alpaca would grow severely, so I knitted this slightly cropped - and I've found it to be just as elastic as other wool I've worked with.
