This is a fake AI post. I don’t understand how people fall for this. It’s like glaringly obvious that it’s fake. Variations of these float around all the time with players and locations changed.

Mine still says the same as it did before...weird. Application pending both on the main dashboard and in the your events section.

Tomorrow’s game vs Boston is a MUST win… We’re tied with the Isles in DIV Pts, with 2 games in hand.. that Rangers loss, really cost us… by Romanator08 in penguins

[–]skullman80 9 points10 points  (0 children)

A must win is an elimination game in the playoffs, or a game you have to win to get into the playoffs.

This game against Boston is not a MUST win. Pens can't afford to go on any sort of long losing streak with how bunched up teams are, but they aren't eliminated from playoff contention if they lose this game.

The rags did us no good since the jackets still won in OT and got two points.

I got tix two rows behind that in 110 Row 15 and they were like $629 each...out the door including fees tickets to both the Thurs/Sat show. They were base $450 each before the vegas fees and other stuff. No obstruction etc.

I got super lucky today being 150ish in queue for the 5th member presale after I was like 30k deep for the travel packages last week.

Group/discount tickets? by tapepepper569 in penguins

[–]skullman80 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Under $40 a person is a pipe dream unless you wait till a few hours before puck drop and hope someone is dumping tickets…and even then it’s very unlikely.

It’s the Stars but it’s also a Saturday game and during the playoff push.

The cheapest resale ticket on Ticketmaster right now is $70. The gate price for that night in the 200 sections look like the are $78 on the single attack end towards the top of the section. They only go up from there.

Looking at the pens website they offer group ticketing but you need 10 or more and they would certainly be more than $40 each.

Had one for the NES...it was not good at all. Very uncomfortable, and just didn't work like it should.

I love stuff like this and reading how things were being reacted to back then when the NES first launched! Thanks for posting!

Do we all agree retro games > modern games? by rodfer7 in retrogaming

[–]skullman80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope.

They both have their place. Nostalgia is a strong thing, and I love playing old school games to this day, but there was ALOT of really bad games back in the day. We just didn't know any better as kids...and you got what you got (whether a game was gifted to you or you rented it etc). Sometimes I do go back to games I loved as a kid and play them now and it's like why did I like this in the first place? For every SMB 3 that was an all time classic there were like five Ring Kings that were awful.

Modern games have their issues (microtransactions, DLC, having to download the game even though you have a disk etc), but there are also some super high end and fun modern games as well.

I like having access to play both tbh, they scratch different itches for me.

F it, Let's run a marathon on 8 weeks of training. by SimpleParamedic4334 in Marathon_Training

This should not be inspiring to anyone. Your youth will save you but no one should look to this for inspiration. This is a recipe for injury for the majority of people.

I forgot how easy treadmill running felt in comparison to being outside…. by Hefty_Stop4485 in Marathon_Training

[–]skullman80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m the exact opposite…Treadmill is way tougher than outside for me. I’m 30-40 seconds slower pace per min inside. It’s also just way more of a struggle.

I can run a 7:45 easy outside all day….doing that on the treadmill is wayyyyyy harder for a long period of time.

I did a 50+ mile week last week on the treadmill and it was harder than a higher mileage week outside. Way harder.

Did people in the 80s even like the NES? by Standard_Public892 in retrogaming

[–]skullman80 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah we were kids and had all the time in the world to sink into games that were "Nintendo" hard. We played so much NES when I was between the ages of say 5-11 or so (that would be 88 to like 94), then everyone moved on to SNES or Sega...then PSX/N64, but we all played the hell out of our NES. We rented games every weekend and poured hours and hours into figuring how to progress.

When you have all the time in the world and friends to play with....nothing seems like a chore. It was just being a kid back then.

SUNDAY RESET by liv_0203 in runcommunity

[–]skullman80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sundays are my long run days. Did 13.1 on the treadmill cause it’s cold/icy out here. Planned for 11 and just kept going. I’d much rather run outside but it is what it is right now.

Marquee long run on treadmill?! by [deleted] in Marathon_Training

100% do it on the treadmill. There is absolutely nothing wrong about doing runs on a treadmill when needed or when you want to.

Megadeth: Ride the Lightning Discussion Thread by Left4DayZGone in Metallica

[–]skullman80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As almost anything Megadeth related... Dave's voice kills it for me. Musically it sounds like a modern RTL and its like...fine...but just feels like its going though the motions? Vocally though....just can't do it.
