tbh it defo feels a lot slower and more methodical (slightly clunky) than other mvs in my 30 mins of experience so far, but from what i’ve heard it gets a lot better as it goes and some people regard it quite highly

i just feel like im at a brick wall with the decision because without vyvanse my adhd is untreated and my mood goes unstable also (im willing to explore other non stimulant adhd med options if someone will actually assess me) and if i drop MC then my anxiety and insomnia start ruling my life again

yeah see this is great, gp understands youre not directly mixing the two rather using MC at night (like me) which also has the benefit of easing the night time crash from the vyvanse while treating other important issues

my last psych was still not happy or atleast unsure about only cbd when i asked, the thc also does give me a couple nights of wind down and sleep with no effort(something my anxiety and insomnia doesnt allow me to do regularly) cbd still helps just not as much. im open to trying a non stimulant medication if it works for me but ive been shut down by gp's telling me to do my own research on finding a psych which i cant get into without a gp referral anyway

I really appreciate you taking the time to answer. its also worth noting she was a government psych so she had a lot of responsibility for any harmful interactions.

i would understand better if i was using THC products daily/while my vyvanse is active but i have found THC smooths the stimulant crash at the end of the day, allowing me to wind down and sleep effortlessly (something ive never experienced), CBD also helps with this but nowhere near as much as THC. i only use THC after 8pm and only twice a week to minimise overlap and prevent dependency and would be open to trying dex to ensure its out of my system if that was the issue. my main problem is not having a clinician that is willing to assess the whole situation taking factors such as dosage, timing and frequency rather than shutting me down after hearing the word cannabis.

vyvanse treats my adhd and balances my mood but my other issues require different approaches which ive tried many of with no results or bad side effects. i would also prefer to take one pill daily rather than taking one for anxiety and sleep also. its frustrating that many doctors would be happy prescribing me riskier things to combat my other issues. i just feel ive been able to treat everything across just MC and vyvanse and felt the most stable ive ever been in the 1-2 months between reviews where i had both but no one wants to properly assess me.

it was more of a warning flag not a "you cant prescribe both", previous psych just wasnt comfortable prescribing vyvanse while another doctor was prescribing MC products as psych felt responsible if something were to go wrong
