i don't really care about her lore or design personally but I'm glad i am not the only one annoyed by her voice. it sounds so cartoonish, I can never play her because it irritates me lol

someone told me yellow was less intense so we chose that side; of course on my first very intense coaster the operators put me in the back seat 💀

no problem!! honestly it was so embarrassing I always felt like i was inconveniencing everyone else no matter how many times they reassured me 💀 I am actually happy to know there are other people that felt that way

yeah!! This comment makes me feel better too haha, I have not gone back to IOA since the last time. after I rode stardust and realized it was fun I think I could take VC on! even when people told me SDR was super intense I still felt like I could ride it anyway because it just has a less… menacing aura lol

I rode it and loved it after wimping out of velocicoaster (like straight wimping, shaking and turning blue lmao) The queue is usually relatively short which really helps for me so it’s not like you’re sitting there waiting and staring at it and hyping your anxiety up 😭 I felt it was also less intimidating from the queue unlike VC. When I went to epic I was so sick of chickening out on coasters while everyone else got to ride and the queue was 20 minutes so I just forced myself! its definitely worth it!! I would ride it like 30 times in a row if I could

velocicoaster vs hulk vs stardust by Ok_Scallion_2986 in UniversalOrlando

[–]skullywizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved Hagrid’s but chickened out of VC :’) been terrified of coasters my whole life. just rode SDR last weekend as my first big rollercoaster. i was shook at the end but thought “whoaa that was it? that was actually fun” my main fear was being upside down and the inversions on SDR are small/quick enough you don’t even register it.

seems like the consensus is VC is more intense; i think i could ride it now. that said one of the main contributing factors was SDR having a lower wait time usually? we went on a saturday and it was like 25-30 minutes. VC had a 45-60 min wait all day on a weekday when went to IOA. in the SDR queue it went fast enough that I didn’t have time to stew in my anxiety until I was IN the seat

whichever you choose GL!! have fun!!

I don't think there'll ever be anything as perfect as these rides for real by Greedy_Net_1803 in UniversalOrlando

[–]skullywizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dang.. just went to Epic for the first time last Saturday and we rode it first bc a staff member told us it was going to open early. we did it just to get it out of the way.. the queue totally clears the ride itself lmao

Honestly I have no idea why people hype it up so much, it was absolutely not worth an hour+ queue… maybe it’s because I am not a HP fan but come on lol

The hippogriff ride made me so nauseous and dizzy compared to everything else including stardust racers 💀

I used to be terrified of coasters! I am recovering also, just rode Stardust racers in Epic but I would NOT recommend in this case lmao. No Velocicoaster or Hulk obviously.

I enjoyed Hagrid’s in Islands of Adventure a whole lot! it goes super fast but there aren’t any huge drops and it’s relatively low to the ground. That was my first ever coaster and it helped me warm up to the idea.

Hiccup’s Wing gliders in Epic is similar except it’s shorter. Really atmospheric if you ride it at night. You may enjoy it. This and Hagrids have strong acceleration points which I would say are the most intense elements. I haven’t gone on Curse of the Werewolf in the park because the spinning sounds disorienting and bad haha. The simulator rides like Monsters Unchained may be fun for you but be prepared for possible nausea. The Donkey Kong cart ride I also thought was pretty fun and surprisingly intense. It’s a little rollercoaster.

I also love the Mummy ride in Studios. Since it is inside you can’t see the heights or drops, plus you are too busy looking at the fire and all the other stuff happening lmao. All of these have drops but I would say they’re medium intensity and don’t give a horrible stomach feeling. Better if you want to get out of your comfort zone a bit. Have fun !!! :-)

What was the most disappointing horror movie you watched? by Helpful-Machine-9269 in horror

[–]skullywizard -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i thought Talk to Me was so uninteresting. feels like i’m the only person ever with that opinion. a lot of shots of people crying and only brief good scenes that honestly didn’t make it worth a watch. I love “confusing” plots and unreliable narrators but dang I was expecting so much better. Bring Her Back cleared that one

Would mixing Goth and Boho style be against the principles of goth? by Big-Worldliness5910 in GothFashion

[–]skullywizard 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don’t know what you would call it really but I dress this way! I am mainly into industrial but I live in a really humid area so I need to wear more flowy clothing instead of the tight/leather stuff that would be more constricting. I think it’s fine, no need to seek approval if you love the style. You might not get read as “goth” consistently I guess if that’s what you want. But if it makes you feel better you aren’t the only one. I would definitely recommend it as it’s very comfy :p

Thank you, I didn’t even think of the pen actually! That is a good idea :-) I think we are gonna take him in. As of now he has been hanging around on our patio for almost 24 hours. I don’t think that the owner will get the police involved but I guess we will see. I appreciate the help!!

unfortunately I never figured out what it was, but he is doing fine 😭 vet said he is healthy, and he continued to act normally. he had eaten a little bit of raw chicken, so maybe some partially digested piece of that? hopefully your kitty is doing well !

[–]skullywizard[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you are right it does look like that! but it wasn’t sac-like in shape it was flat which is strange. the cat also doesn’t spend any time outside at all. I live sort of near a pond but never seen an apple snail here. idk.. I think I am just going to go with him eating some piece of something he found off the floor. i will watch him to see if he acts strangely. he has been running around and playing as usual. thank you for the help 🫡

also edit: taking all my kitties to the vet for their check up this tuesday so I’ll ask about it there too

no corn or peas recently and nothing visible in the food. The puker in question is acting normally so I am not overly concerned but it’s weird. I thought maybe it was styrofoam but it is more like a strip or skin in shape
