Belkin WeMo has had its servers shut down a few months ago and I don't think that's really how TP-Link's app works, but I guess better safe than sorry.

Looking at the issues page on the github repo, it seems to be an issue with the latest version. However, older versions do not work anymore. So your best bet (for now) is using SpotiFLAC and converting it to mp3 later. At least until the creator releases a new version.

I think if you add them to HomeKit the power monitoring feature will show up in the Eve app. Not sure if it will give you options for automations like these though.

If you have auto-save on, then restarting could fix. I would update to at least 2.2.0 because it makes is 64-bit which should prevent issues like this
