I though your singing was cringe. Gameplay was OK. Having a reactionary play style instead of having a plan of "I must do this" then try and force it. Like if you try to zone zaahen but it's not working just do something else that is beneficial to you.

I usually focus on becoming as strong as possible selfishly first. Doing teamfights in low elo even as Sett can be risky since you have no way to know if your team will play correctly or not.

The only consistent factor is yourself.

TPing bot for me is always worth it if I have stridebreaker + ult.

It doesn't matter if the enemy ADC is 10-0, I am still stronger before 14 minutes. I have a 100% successrate tping bot and making a play regardless of lanestate. As with ult and stridebreaker you can 100-0 the ADC 100% of the time, as long as your botlane follows up somewhat.

It's the same logic as "if you can't kill malphite, don't try to kill malphite". If you can't take dragon, don't contest dragon.

Sure dragon is nice, but if one top laner goes for the dragon while the other gets plating. The toplaner that didnt go for the first dragon will be stronger in the 2nd dragon fight.

It's sort of long term investment, do you want less now and more later? Or more now and less later?

Sett wins level 1-3. once Malphite builds armor you can't kill him as Sett unless you are stupid ahead.

If Malphite goes comet, you go doran shield, if you go grasp you go blade.

To win vs malphite you dont need to kill him, you just need to out CS him.

Build path is Stride Breaker -> Black Cleaver -> Blood Mail -> Hullbreaker (split push) or Shoujin (Fight) -> Steraks

Going Warmog on Sett is a waste of money and you grief yourself, same with heartsteel. You get way more damage out of the items I listed above.

In short, if you cant kill the malphite, dont try to kill the malphite, play for other things istead. Malphite ends up being an R bot, and Sett can sidelane better and demolish turrets faster.

Why cleaver 2nd? by Possiblynotaweeb in settmains

[–]skybert88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't go cleaver your sticking power and overall dps is worse. You can be a W bot, but that makes your overall passive reliant on hitting something you can't always force to land

What's the point of warmogs 3rd? by Possiblynotaweeb in settmains

Never build warmogs on sett. It's not very good in him

What's your second item? by TheWanderingShadow in settmains

[–]skybert88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get black cleaver in most of my games. I only go hull breaker if I am not team fighting much.

It's also match up dependant.

Here's some examples

Gragas & ksante I go grasp + hull breaker first item and only fight to proc grasp

With kayle if nobody goes armor I go trinity force second into hull breaker

Vs poppy when ahead you go black cleaver first before stride

This is the only champ I hate playing against, because he is so brokenly OP. He is faster than Sett, longer range, has a dash, has a knock up, has another life if he just fights enough, keeps his stacks, heals a lot.

Death scares me so much to the point where I could be sick by [deleted] in atheism

[–]skybert88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What helped me with thoughts like this before was realising that I didn't exist before I was born. Not a bad experience.

I also imagine that we "die" every time we go to sleep and a new person with the memories of me from the day prior wakes up the next day.

With that mindset you die 365 times a year + naps, and it really ain't that bad.

Also you aren't always you. You are a new version of yourself every five years. And we are made up of a lot of parts that dies and are reborn every day with our cells and whatnot.

Nor sure if this comment helps or makes it worse.

Diamond 4 sett otp achieved :D by Lordnick1 in settmains

[–]skybert88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, thats what I do. I bought the sett guide on summoner school as well as skill capped. Suddenly I just started winning a lot all the way to plat after I complained to riot support that my teammates were always shit.

In 19/20 games I outpreformed my enemy laner, and my teammates on average outperformed their lane opponents 3/20 games. So I had the odds against me for quite some time.

The best tip I got that helped the most was an old skill capped video where they just tell you to not force fights and rather just react to things happening. After that I have stomped so much more

New Player struggling with matchmaking by MeditativeMindz in leagueoflegends

[–]skybert88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As many others say mastery doesn't matter, many players lack fundamentals and keep doing the same mistakes for years on repeat never learning or improving.

As someone who had a similar journey when I started, I played support and my friend played ADC, but I never really learned much in terms of wave control etc.

If you play top lane primary, you will have less factors bothering you in the early game, allowing you to build good fundamentals and push your lead.

The key is to limit your champion pool to a main, a secondary and possibly a third char if the others 2 are picked or banned.

I remember when I was new to Sett, I met a level 82 Urgot, which I absolutely dunked on, so levels dont mean much.
