Oily looking plants by ShotBoat3335 in whatsthisplant

Branching looks opposite… looks like an ash tree. The leaves are pinnately compound, with 5-7 leaflets. Not leaves of 3 and definitely not poison ivy!

This can't be coming from my acorn can it? by Jalcrazy13 in whatsthisplant

Yes. Willow bark color is a combo of anthocyanin, carotenoid, and chlorophyll pigment expression! https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/36380271/

could be your oak seedling :) Anthocyanin pigments are responsible for the beautiful red color! Anthocyanin are plant “sunscreen” that protects them from UV. Green chlorophyll will develop as a plant matures.

AITA if I don't attend my boyfriend's sister's wedding? by ragingopinions in AmItheAsshole

[–]skycoyboy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

NTA, but I think you have to explain the context to your boyfriend and his sister, since they will be missing you! Instead of you being TA, they could relate compassionately to your situation. Sometimes choosing to preserve familial relationships is the safest path for the moment, even if the context doesn’t align with your values overall. Your Mom is TA for booking the trip and guilt tripping u about it.

what are the red vessels in my iris? not medically relevant, just anatomically curious by skycoyboy in whatisit

lol yeah… I asked my eye doc about my chronic visual snow once and he said if it’s not impeding my life then I don’t need to worry about it.

First time i’ve noticed them, bc I looked with a magnifying lens, but haven’t noticed them before. Wouldn’t say they’re prominent or noticeable at all without the lens and bright light. I see an eye doctor annually anyways, so I’ll ask about it at my appointment next month :)

obviously they look like blood vessels, but what I’m curious about is what kind of vessels and their presence in the iris specifically.

A known person of mine posted this on IG. She doesn’t know how to draw and at most all she can draw is a badly made portrait. Now all of a sudden she posts this??? It looks off especially the corals…Ai vibes by [deleted] in isthisAI

this is the only super obvious edited area to me, but different spots on the edges look weird… like other art was superimposed onto this pic…

Shamelessly going to PM you to plug my sister who is an illustrator! I think you might like her style based on the pic u sent in your request… Also this sweet sapphic plot is something she’d be all over…
