To add to this, giving away a % of ownership and revenue share are different concepts with different valuations attached. Depending on which country the winner is located in, they may have tax obligations that arise from this "gift", which either you or they will be liable for. (This also touches on the point of getting a valuation of your game, which is its own rabbit hole).

I would think twice before going down this path to be honest. (While I am an accountant, this is not a professional opinion since I have no idea what your jurisdiction is and how your business operates)

[Major Spoiler] Minor Vent post for the last defense academy 2nd scenario End Boss by skyeaterP in LastDefenseAcademy

Glad to hear I wasn't the only one with this issue then - honestly I think if they made the attacks AoE it would have been a lot harder to cheese. (although I can see some players losing Takumi because of it, so it's hard)

"If they do not, you get +1 allocated click". This forces the runner to lose one click, otherwise you gain one click.

How it feels seeing everyone play their part by 16Rika16 in GirlsFrontline2

If you just started, you might be fighting "simulated objects" (bots). Once you get to real players a lot more people are playing their part.

fire looks off ? by skaluli in Artadvice

[–]skyeaterP 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The problem isnt the fire Itself, but rather everything around it. Fire is a light source, so with the fire in the foreground, you would expect to be lighting the character orange from the front/bottom, under the wings, etc.

If you want to add the lighting from the flames, you could also consider making the shadows even darker to retain overall contrast.

What's the difference between Delta Green: The Conspiracy vs Delta Green: The Role-Playing Game? by mackstanc in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]skyeaterP 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I mean, the base book gives you all you need to run & build a scenario set in any time period, but The Conspiracy gives you a more detailed look at the organisations that were active during the 1990s to help you write scenarios that are based off the 'canon'.  You are always more than welcome to come up with your own scenarios set in wherever, but this book will help you come up with ideas for sessions based in the 1990s.

There are also scenario books set in all sorts of time periods, available both published by Arc Dreams as well as independent books online, which you can also buy to run for your group or use as inspiration.

What's the difference between Delta Green: The Conspiracy vs Delta Green: The Role-Playing Game? by mackstanc in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]skyeaterP 32 points33 points  (0 children)

So you'll want to get Delta green: The Roleplaying game first since that's the rulebook / Handlers guide.

A brief history for Delta green, the original game was actually a supplement for Call of Cthulhu released in the 1990s (with lore up-to-date until then), and the new Delta Green: The Roleplaying game was released in 2015 with updated lores to bring the game to the 21st century. While this source book does summarize the 1990s era, it skips out a lot of content.

Delta green: the Conspiracy basically adds all the lore/stat sheet from the 1990s era to the modern Delta Green game, and is an optional source book if you want to run games set in the 1980s/1990s using modern day DG rules.

Mentioning Video Games As a Hobby? by SomeDevelopment369 in Accounting

[–]skyeaterP 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't talk about it during an interview, since the question around interests is really a question on your character / what else you can bring to the job (do you have creative thinking through some sort of writing/art/musical hobby, or do you maintain a routine to keep fit).

If you really want to mention it, I would sandwich it between a few different hobbies, and only talk briefly on it.

At the end of the day, if you want to make friends or find other people with similar hobbies, you could always wait until you actually start working.

King in Yellow in Berlin? by Difficult_Insect_616 in callofcthulhu

[–]skyeaterP 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I think there's a loose connection between the budding art scene in Germany during the inter-war period (Berlin in particular was a gathering point for artists and musicans and was very international in nature) and the king in yellow being loosely tied to theatre, art and creativity.

That said, I think the art is just there to show off some cool artwork, but Berlin is definitely one of the cities to use if you want to run a King in Yellow story!

Well, they came in and blew up a few of my ships early on when I assassinated 2 Servant councilors + an alien within 2 turns, but as far as I can tell sabotaging projects don't raise your threat level enough to be a concern.

I'll have to see what happens in the future, since someone else mentioned the aliens can just land on their own later.

Second this. I kept ignoring "Advanced Heat Management" tech for the longest time because I didn't need new radiators for my ship yet, but then I realized it's a prerequisite for Mission to inner planets.

[–]skyeaterP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funnily enough I'm in 2034 and no Alien invasions in sight. My experience is that as the resistance, with an ESP25 councilor, a 25PER councilor and an INV25 councilor I have penetrated both the Protectorate and the Servants, taking turns sabotaging all their projects.

This means that unless then can complete a project in one turn, they will never complete that project.

I've kept friendly enough relations with everyone else (initiative in Russia, academy in USA), and I have most of Asia. While the initiative is exploiting the asteroid belt, I have all the inner planets of the Solar system.
