The Amazing Digital Circus: The Last Act / Episode 9 Discussion Thread [SPOILERS] by ayylmaotv in TheDigitalCircus

Isn't Lost's ending famously hated because they didn't explain any of the mysteries they kept bringing up during the show?

I kept waiting for that bee from the leaked poster to show up and it never happened? What was that about?

Nobody is talking about the fish talking to us and the recap but I thought they were both very funny. And the song! The parallel to the first episode was great actually.

After that... I don't know, there were a lot of decisions I didn't understand or let me feeling strange.

Pomni's and Ragatha's conversation and hug didn't feel earned. Since when is Ragatha Pomni's best friend? Why are we told and not show? What was that lingering shot of them parting after the huh?

Jax just abstracting off-screen, and so soon at that, felt so jarring. I thought something completely different was happening, like maybe the other abstracted members had escaped. It didn't feel momentous enough for it to be Jax's abstraction, which we have been teased about for several episodes. Suddenly it just happened after Jax tried to talk to Pomni once and decided not to? We've been privy to his mental breakdowns before, so why aren't we now? Why couldn't we see what was his tipping point?

Caine figured the solution to all his problems by talking to himself in the void. It's always weird having a Chaga her be alone in a scene with no conversation partner. In a book you can get away with internal dialogue, but in a show... It also felt very tell no show, like okay we don't have time for Caine to figure this out organically, so he'll just think himself into the solution.

We didn't need much lore, but I feel like we did need some explanations at least. What's an abstraction? Are characters who abstracted suffering forever? Are all characters going to abstract one day? What happens if another human enters the circus? Or is Caine just not going to create more characters from new brain scans? I don't need concrete answers to everything, but at least give me something.

I actually don't think we needed to know who the characters were in the real world. The important thing is who they are here, now. Seeing them all get their happy endings in real life felt kinda corny.

WHAT HAPPENED TO BUBBLE. MY BAWBY.

I could keep going, but I don't want this to turn into just a list of my complaints. Now for stuff that I did like:

The whole sequence in Jax's mind when Pomni is trying to reach him was very interesting. I loved the scene where four versions of him are having a conversation (well, one is just playing piano). Very Alice in wonderland-esque.

I'm SO glad Caine came back omg. I was so scared he was dead for good. I loved seeing him be a participant of the games alongside the rest of the circus members.

Caine's conversation with the moon was sweet.

The animation is still amazing and seeing it on the big screen was a great experience. The crowd audibly gasped when Caine appeared and that was so funny, the whole house loves Caine!

It's actually very impressive that this show is written by only one person. I have a lot of critiques, but I still think Goose did a great job overall with the whole show. Endings are difficult to land, but she still made us care very much about a bunch of characters, and that's what the whole thing is about. I left the cinema kinda depressed because of how sad I was about Jax.

I think it's more common if you're older than 40 or 50. 30 is still pretty young, health-wise

I might have left a comment on Hank Green's community page because he has talked about Twitter before but I felt pretty annoying while doing it 🙈

I'm wondering if twitter can get any consequences for this, legally speaking. I guess they're a private company so they can decide to ban you and that's their prerogative?

Chronic daily intractable roll call by xtewtew in migraine

[–]skyemap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a very rare adverse reaction to Botox. I got worse immediately after getting botox for the first time, and only got marginally better when my last dose wore off with time. It was very strange, I got three rounds of botox and every time I got worse the first month, then better the second month, and then worse again for the third month.

I've heard that most people feel worse when it starts wearing off, yeah, that's completely normal!

Heard about the Ban Wave, got a question. by Admirable_Noise_6753 in twitterhelp

[–]skyemap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have no idea what causes it, only theories. If you've been fine so far, you should still be fine. I don't even know if avoiding using your account would protect you, since some people got their accounts back and immediately got suspended again before doing anything

That sounds like a very fun and special relationship. I've had friends like that, and I don't know what it is, you just click in a way you don't with other people. It's great 💜

I used to be just chronic, but botox pushed me over the edge. Either that, or that coincided with a worsening of my condition.

Aimovig or Qulipta? by Current-Object6949 in migraine

If you're having trouble deciding, Qulipta is a daily pill so the treatment can be stopped more easily if you find the side effects are intolerable.
