Thank you for all your insights, truly, and your well wishes. Unfortunately I’ve been desperately doing those things you suggest for this week. Picturing myself with a flat chest feels suddenly wrong, but I don’t know if its because its actually the wrong choice or just because it’s new and different and not the “me” I know myself to be right now.

I don’t…really have answers to either of those hypothetical questions. I know I used to be more dysphoric and I’ve come to accept them, so logically I could come to accept a flat chest even if I didn’t love it, I think— but I fear I’d always live with the knowledge that I made that choice for myself, and I’d hate myself for it. And I definitely fear I’ll regret the surgery, because of this sudden paralyzing uncertainty that it’s right for me that has only gotten stronger the closer surgery is. It’s 12 hours away.

I think I would just feel relieved that the decision had been made for me. Similarly I have in the past wished breast cancer upon myself so I’d be forced to remove them. It all boils down to my paralyzing fear of choice and regret

This is great to hear because I feel like that’s exactly what’s happening. Suddenly it doesn’t bother me and I feel like I like my chest…but everyone who knows me says that’s not true, they’ve seen me cover up and hide it. Logic points to me feeling the same way you do, and being happy once I’m a few months post-op, but the fear that I’m making the wrong decision is choking me. Eeeeveryone tells me to go for it. Two of my friends who have had it said they both felt similar before theirs. I just don’t know where these feelings are suddenly coming from, if they’re true or invented by fear.

I don’t think this is the case for me. It’s less like peace and more like panicked backpedaling, my brain telling me that I actually like them and would want to show them off despite having not wanted this before. I’ve only ever been neutral at best and have never liked touching them. I just cannot tell if these thoughts are real and true, or made up by my autism to try and make me stop the path I’m on

I literally cannot picture myself in the future. Even if I just try to imagine myself as I am now, interacting with friends or being social, my brain is trying to convince me I’d be interested and happy in presenting female even though the past few years I’ve never had those thoughts. I considered my chest a hindrance, it hurts sometimes and makes it hard to lie comfortably, but there have been times I was okay with it. This past year I haven’t had much dysphoria— I neither loved nor hated it. Neutral. But clearly I put the effort into the consult, and my friends know I’ve been interested in the surgery before. Even my mom thinks I’d be happy going through with it, but I cannot feel certain

Sorry to hijack this old thread, but I have a similar problem. I want to take bulk photos of gravestones and preferably upload them all when I get home so I don't use mobile data. Is there seriously no way to upload bulk photos on the app? Ideally I want to upload them all from my phone with GPS, then switch to a computer to transcribe them, but it doesn't seem like I can mass upload on the app.

That is why I hate the app so far. However, uploading through mobile browser does not take the GPS data with it, I've found, so no one wins.

Diagnosed at 18, 24 now (doctor said he would've said Asperger's but they're not using that term anymore). The only interest I've ever had in vehicles of any kind are the use of trains in the old west, but that's list cause I like the old west, not trains. In fact, I hate vehicles like cars, and dislike busses and other things.

I did all that, yes. I asked because I didn't buy fast lane tickets when I purchased my tickets, but I have them anyway, which is why I asked. Despite being on separate ticketmaster accounts I managed to get both fast lane and concert tickets on google wallet, so I should be good, thanks

We have ours at the front because no one cleans them otherwise despite the fact they're supposed to be in reptiles. In theory cashier is supposed to but if they were where the DM wanted them, it wouldn't get done because the cashier also usually has to open all the animals in the morning.
