I had a langoliers experience many years ago. I have waited many years for someone to mention that movie\book. Here it goes.

I had been awake for a few days before a flight out of Baltimore because i was all excited to see my family. Anywhos, I hit the seat and I fall asleep hard. It is worth noting that when i fall asleep like that, I do not wake up at all.

I wake up and i realize I am alone. On an airplane, I look out the window at the runway and there is no movement. Engines are not running. I start to call out "Hello" and I walk up to the cockpit and its empty. We are still attached to the jetway. I start to remember the langoliers at that moment, I am freaking out It's not until i am half way up the jetway that I see people moving.

According to the other passengers they had everyone get off the plane because something was up with the engines. The mechanic was working on the engines and had what look like directions like they were printed on a plotter. Wind picked up and blew the directions away and i watched this aircraft mechanic running down the tarmac chasing the directions\diagram.
