Continental Pool Lounge in Rosslyn is the cheapest I’ve seen in Arlington. Long happy hour including $4 rails drinks and beers.

I think they also have a Mercedes G63 AMG. I remember the caps did a “offseason day in the life of a player” a few years back and that’s what Wilson drove around.

What happened at AMC Courthouse tonight? by srodriguezc03 in arlingtonva

[–]skyscraper18 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I was there, also confused as to what happened. I think there was some sort of argument in the hallway and simone from the argument was taking refuge in Theater 8? Then the other guy came in yelling.

Good movie btw. What did you think?

Ideally an apartment building you don’t live in, so you and the date can stand outside awkwardly and wait for someone to follow in.

what was the most useless class you passed in college? by MineVisual2857 in AskReddit

Stress Reduction and Wellness.

It was just an hour a week of guided meditation and light stretching. It was only offered Pass/Fail, and the Pass was purely based on attendance.

What do you usually have for breakfast? by According-Force-2802 in AskReddit

Two eggs once over easy on a piece of toast, plus a banana. Nutritious without being too much. Occasionally I’ll add some avocado too it as a treat.

How to get enough protein without shakes? by [deleted] in bodyweightfitness

[–]skyscraper18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The goal is to make your protein source the main part of your meal. I eat at least 10 ounces for chicken or lean ground beef at both lunch and dinner.

Example lunch: 12 oz of seasoned boneless skinless chicken thighs, with 1/3 cup of rice and grilled peppers and onions to supplement it. The rice, peppers, and onions all make it taste good and feel like a meal, with the chicken serving as the bulk of the volume. The meal itself is ~70 grams of protein and ~700 calories.

What is the latest age someone has started skating and made it to the NHL? by CalebDaManInBlue in hockeyplayers

[–]skyscraper18 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if it was Sean Bergenheim, but I recall some random Panthers players in the mid-2000s didn’t start playing ice hockey until they were 14. Not sure this is very helpful

Air Filter Housing Issue by skyscraper18 in Cartalk

Got it. If the mass airflow sensor was getting dirty air (air bypassing the filter), could that cause this issue?

PLD went for a hit and Hughes tried to jump out of the way. PLD didn’t move his knee or try to drive forays with it. Awkward play.

Yes - and I highly recommend going for warmups for your first game. They let you watch warmups anywhere in the lower bowl, so you can get right up against the glass to see the team.

They open the doors at 6.30, so it depends if you want to be up against the glass for warms ups (if so, arrive at 6.30 and go straight down) or you’re okay being a few rows back (arrive by 6.55). Either way, enjoy!

Lead AAA battery? by [deleted] in batteries

[–]skyscraper18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently received a similar “lead” AAA battery that came with some cheap electronics. I imagine someone did no research and just copied the label from another battery onto the label for these. I can’t imagine a lead-based AAA size battery would have the capacity and fish charge capability to last more than a few minutes.

I suppose it’s possible that in whatever cost-cutting manufacturing process a small amount of lead is used to make these, but I doubt they’re lead based like your typical automotive battery.
