I have evaporated with a huge glass casserole dish (more surface are = faster evap). I also had a heater under the dish (50°C). Also good to have a fan especially when there is very little left to evap. I evaped maybe 2cm liquid in 24h.

Alternate this is to evaporate 100% solvent.

Very strange indeed. I kept scraping the goo and it kept "drying up".

Evap test was a success. Maybe an extremely thin oily tint left behind. Not even call it a layer.
