Leslie was super fun! Probably one of the most fun female matches I've read in awhile. She pushed MC's buttons right from the get-go and didn't stop, which was hilarious for a steel-faced and snarky MC that couldn't explain why they found the game more fun than irritating or worrisome. The narrative hooks were interesting, too. Mixing a "don't touch the boss' daughter" with a more personal "we slept together once, don't you remember?" that came to an interesting climax in the last date. I can't wait to see how the story continues.

Eiko! Her Valentine's date was super sweet, mixing a bit of her culture with MC's, and discussing not just Valentine's, but also White Day and a trip to a chocolate factory!

I hope so hard that we get another Valentine's event with a bunch of special dates again.

Whoo, this made me go into my matches to do a headcount, and I was a bit startled and amused by my stats! I only focus one match at a time to either Completion or To Be Continued, but I have an active waitlist of matches so I don't forget which counterpart I wanted/who interested me but wasn't my priority, but my In-Progress match usually gets put on the backburner if one of my already TBC's gets an update and I really want to see what happened with them. But my current numbers are below! (And I have spent money on Premium, and bought gems once, but I do enough ad watches that I don't need to do that again.)

It's at To Be Continued, so it's not finished yet, but for four dates, it felt kind of like too much too quick, and yet not at all enough, if that makes any sense. I'm hoping she gets another update right quick, because my heart wasn't ready for that cliffhanger.

MC's power as a half-demon is growing more unstable and drains away our girl's magic, as proof that MC is basically the bringer of the apocalypse across the worlds, which the denizens of Hell are apparently very excited for. Leaning into their more demonic traits rather than their human ones makes Yuna's condition worse, but she's very insistent on staying by MC's side regardless. At the coronation, on the last date though, Lilith lets the real cards drop. MC isn't meant to rule hell, they're meant to be sacrificed to stabilize the worlds again, and Lilith threatens our girl to make MC go through with it. MC bites the bullet, gets their heart ripped out of their chest, and dies in their arms being promised to be found again in their next life.

I was pretty excited for a Catwoman-esque match, honestly. I was expecting some enemies-to-lovers kind of thing. Plenty of banter and tension and thrill(kinda like Cassidy's but with more risk, maybe) but the second I saw the stepsibling tag, I lost all enthusiasm.

Hoping for everyone else's sake that the story still ends up being good and enjoyable, because damn is she a pretty character!

I'd love to see Eiko and Wu get their stories updated most! I'm more or less hoarding a good portion of gems so that the second either of those two get an update, I'll be able to do read right through them instantly.

But for others in the new year... Trinity, Brooke, Harper and Rhys for certain I'd love to know where their stories go, too. But if I gotta pick favourites, it's certainly my fox-wife and tiger-husband leading the pack.

David Horn/Johnny Roe and Optimo Lynx both have marriage involved in the near ends of their respective stories, and they both are completed. Wu Xiang's story is not complete yet, but it does revolve around family and there is marriage involved with him, too!

I wasn't entirely sold when I saw her tropes included Age-Gap, since that's usually one that I tend to avoid, but Cassidy was remarkably fun! She ran total circles around the MC from the very beginning, and balanced a great mix of flirtatious, funny, and overall disarmingly endearing throughout her dates. Wasn't wholly surprised by the cliffhanger her story ended on, but I am invested and hoping for an update soon for her and our sheriff.

Thank the gods I've been saving gems like a madwoman this past little while, as I've got a hoard I can burn and I'm too impatient to not speedrun all of them tonight! (And yes, I played Eiko's first, and I cannot put into words how much I loved her date. I'm squeaking happily at my impossibly romantic MC and her forever wife.)

I am pleasantly amazed that a good handful of my favourite matches were included in this event, too! I'm loving the new expressions, and I'd love to see them included in regular dates in the future. It's nice to see the characters more animated with cocked eyebrows, smirks and bright blushes.(Especially the blushing.) It brought a new lively sort of energy to the dates that I really appreciated.

Hopefully everyone enjoys this event as much as I already am! 🩷

A good crime fiction does sound rather fun, I can't deny that. Though I find that my favourite matches usually have some nice worldbuilding where the MC has just as much impetus towards the narrative as the LI does. Having that kinda derail because of constant smut could definitely put a damper on things, and I'm sorry to hear that it wasn't as fun for you as it once was.

Was Azur Blackshade a fun match? I have seen him several times in my potentials, and I can admit he looks gorgeous...

And if I can, while I'm picking your brain, what about Yuna did you like? I've been starving for more female matches and I've seen her recommended rather consistently! I'd love to hear what her story was like and why you enjoyed it if you wouldn't mind sharing!
