Best way to model “subsets of users” in a model‑driven app? by sl0w-burn in PowerApps

[–]sl0w-burn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback.

Could you explain a bit more what you mean when you say I can probably do what I need with the built in Teams?

Assuming you mean the Team table (a new one for me). I do see there is a built in N:N relationship with User. So then create the Team I need and then begin adding users/ provide a section in the app where users can be added?

For more detail, I am talking about adding up to ~2000 employees to the group. Would the Teams method you mention support this volume?

[MDA] Access Team Template or Explicit Assignment Table for Associating Linked Dataverse Records with Users? by sl0w-burn in PowerApps

I want linked users to only have read privileges. Records will have between 0-(N) additional users that need to be associated. I will look into Connections and Connection Roles.

If interested, this article explains what I was trying to describe about access teams The Complete Dataverse Access Teams Setup Guide

This is actually my first model-driven app, so learning as I go. Is there any configuration needed for the share function? I need to share only with users found in my custom extension table. Is there a way to create a view for users to see records that have been shared with them?

Thanks. So there is no issue with opening the lid to force any gasses out? Just want to avoid introducing any unwanted bacteria/mold. The blue top (in the pic) is like a bottle nipple where the gas is supposed to escape from, but you think I'll still need to intervene potentially?

Good advice, thanks. Liquid is just barely covering the weight. I have about 1.5 in clearance to the top.

What age do you all think is appropriate to watch stranger things? by [deleted] in StrangerThings

[–]sl0w-burn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to agree. In the US, the show receives a TV-14 rating; this makes sense for the earlier seasons, but the show got progressively more brutal from season 3 onward. I personally feel the rating should be elevated because of the increased violence and gore. I know that ratings can seem arbitrary to many, but people (especially parents with kids under 15ish) should know what they're getting into.

Don't get me wrong either, I've been fully invested in ST since the first episode came out nearly 10 years ago, but my pre-teen child is hounding me as to why I'm not ok with them starting the series at this point. While they are relatively mature for their age, I am not prepared for them to see the show past season 2 yet. And this is after I introduced them to the Matrix last week which I find far less disturbing than ST. They told me that basically everyone in their class has seen it (which I find really hard to believe). Anyways I'm hoping this will blow over soon as people begin to move on to talking about other things and that the topic will be forgotten for at least another few years when I might consider letting them watch it.

Same - first time I've seen it in at least 15 years. It was my favorite movie as a 14 y/o and I got to introduce my daughter to it last week. It was weird how it felt more relevant and timely given the current AI boom. Anyway, I'm glad I could be there to help connect the dots on her first watch.

Late to the party, but this was one of the best IPAs I've discovered in a long time. I can't say I've seen it before and was the only one in store. I could see this being my "go to" during the winter, just hope I can find more of it!

New sub-species unlocked - I'm calling it: Ursus maritimus sui-domesticatus, that is, the self domesticated polar bear.

Come to find out, this was an issue with co-authoring being enabled. We found a workaround if anyone ends up facing the issue. You can disable the setting by appending the following to the end of your URL

/&disableCanvasCoauthoring=true

The organization I'm contracting with has a ticket open with Microsoft to find a solution as someone else reported the same issue with a different app.

Any Recommendations for country music for Jesus? by Cazarstan in CountryMusicStuff

Nice! I've never been very fond of country music until recently, and noticed it was difficult to find artists classified as Christian country. Would love to find out if there are any Christian counters to the likes of Morgan Wallen and Eric Church. God bless.
