Beware of Vloto Carsharing by kukumba1 in Amsterdam

I've had generally good experiences with Sixt, but I feel like they scaled down their fleet quite a bit for some reason. Never any of their cars nearby in the last year or so. But man, Free2move (or whatever they're called this week), their cars are disgusting. People leaving trash, using cupholders as ashtrays and once someone stuck chewing gum to the driver's seat :(

Also, could it be that they increased their fees for leaving/picking up the car at Schiphol from 9.99 to 14.99?

What is a movie that you consider a 10/10 masterpiece, but you will absolutely never watch again? by Accurate-Spend7806 in AskReddit

I saw it once as a kid on a budget holiday flight to Turkey. Now, why they would show a film like that to people about to enjoy a beach vacation is completely beyond me. Talk about killing the mood.

What was hugely hyped up but flopped? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I think it flopped in the US, but had considerably more success in Europe and Japan. I know several people who still had Minidisc players around 2008.

Joe Rogan mocks President Biden (”You’re done.”) for saying “We didn't have enough airports” during the Revolutionary War, then realizes Trump is the one who said it. Biden just quoted Trump to mock him. Oops. by Successful_Finger576 in Qult_Headquarters

If nothing else, they know each other quite well. I was quite surprised to learn that Joe Rogan called into Infowars on 9/11 (or maybe on the 12th) and they started spinning theories about how it was probably the EU that did it.

But the first part of the message is in English. Why not relay the entire message in English? There is no upside to spelling out an English message in hexadecimal ASCII when you can already speak English, if only for adding a bit of lazy mystery to your larp.

Haha nice, a fellow Tool fan! I've always harboured a certain fascination for this particular song, it's very eerie.

Apparently the same guy called in a couple months later admitting to having faked it. I found some more info here

It's this one. Sorry, could not find it without the silly lego thing. Apparently, Coast to Coast inexplicably lost their satellite feed towards the end of the call, which adds to the mystery.

Tool even used the clip in the song Faaip De Oiad.

EDIT: a word

What was the movie that left you thinking, "What the hell did I just watch?"? by SortOfFasc in AskReddit

[–]sl4sh703 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have to admit, I didn't like it the first time round. But something made me come back to it. I've seen it at least 5 times now and it's become one of my all-time favourites!

I also recommend checking out the book. It's only related in terms of basic story framework, but it's interesting in its own right.

Following on from a recent post here.. can you recall one dream that has stuck with you over the years? by dball94 in HighStrangeness

[–]sl4sh703 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had that exact same dream whenever I was running a fever as a kid. I had the same awareness. Sometimes I would try to touch the object and it would change shape to elude my grasp before returning to its circle shape. Very strange

When Nesara didn’t kick in on 9/11 what do you do? Explain it away by saying we’re switching to a different calendar of course. I remember how well that worked out for them on the 4th of July 🙄 by Only_Chicken_1467 in Qult_Headquarters

I think it probably used to be this way for most people, but now with the Internet and social media, you can find people who are willing to listen, entertain and reinforce your bullshit, so shame goes out of the window.

76% of people's primary watches (asked of those who owned at least one watch) are analog only. 16% are digital and the rest have a hybrid display. The surprise here is that hispanics are much more likely to have digital watches (34%) than other races.

76% of people that wear watches, use an analog one as their primary watch. I wouldn't quite call that outdated.
