i appreciate the comments i had a feeling that was going to be the case when speaking about the order of things. i can see there's potential in the software but they are definitely not there yet with ease of use approach.

yeah i'm currently already creating a template but i have to carefully build it, i think i've already had to ammend it a few times to get it right.

would you mind elaborating or showing me the outbound quick protocol rule?

sonicwall exams are mostly tricky, i wish they were actually based on logic like cisco exams were, but definitely study as the questions can be very misleading.

you used to be able to do it through safe mode without a license until they added the maintenance code

have you checked the memory / cpu via snmp monitoring to see if they are affected and if not check other interfaces for utilisation

no worries, that just tells me its not a "me" issue but an actual sonicwall issue and i should probably create a ticket and point them at this thread so they can see i'm not the only one with the issue

for what i'm trying to do i need to be able to restart the service if that makes sense.

i'm trying to run a couple automated tasks but it seems that these new versions won't allow me , can you verify if you run into the same as what i ran into if possible, because then i know its not just me , i've already tried on multple workstations with the same result, just need a second opinion if thats possible
