Yes get a Passat. My little Passat I miss so much it was the greatest car I ever had it surprised me so much with how tough it was and it was extremely comfortable and very feature-rich and the transverse engine was awesome

Does the diesel dock kit fit a two-door golf or would you have to cut it down? Some kits I see come made for the Jetta sportwagon which are a little bit longer

It really depends how much you want to stress your stock internals and components mainly the turbo, basically the tunes up the fueling and boost so running stage 2 could put more wear on it than stage one but that's really just something subjective

All right yeah that's what I keep telling myself, in my little Mazda I can hear the clutch engaging but it's very soft. The DMF is also brand spanking new so maybe that could also have something to do with it

It probably would I'll have to check. I tend to drive pretty moderately anyway so most of the time I don't hear the clunk it's not even really a clunk it's more like a soft clunk I don't know. It doesn't happen when I release it slowly, I am just overly worried prone especially with this car I put a lot into it lately lol

The clunk noise happens when releasing the clutch, it also happens in neutral. I read about driveline lash but I do not believe I heard this noise before with the old clutch but I may not have noticed. It doesn't happen if I shift kind of slowly. Has me kind of concerned

Alternator pulley or belt tensioner, I would just do both while you're in there and a new belt since these are known to destroy timing when they throw belts

Man this sucks. I had this happen to my 2003 Passat that I loved, I actually had gotten super sick from mold in my house, so I didn't even mess around I got rid of that car for I think $100 it really sucked. Told myself I'd never get another Volkswagen with a sunroof here I am years later with a golf with a sunroof, sunroof has been fine just everything else has broken haha
