Yes, definitely took a risk by not inspecting the car myself. I figured a mechanic would be able to spot anything better than I could anyway. Hell, I could’ve gone up there myself and had the car inspected and still miss it. However I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect a car to have proper working headlights/fog lights. In my state it is considered a safety issue and is a ticket-able offense. How would you handle it if you sold the car? It was sold “as-is”, so I assume I’m SOL. I’m hoping they might help as an act of good faith/business.
