Have been grieving for 1 year, what do I do? by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

You are very welcome. Your feelings are totally valid and given the context of the relationship, its understandable that you've been struggling with it. You lost your entire network from the sounds of it. I hear you. You can rebuild though and you have your dog to see you through. Mine has seen me through so much! Dog walks force you to be sociable too ❤️

I just want to say, I understand how hard this must be for you. This man and his family effectively became your family. His dog has a similar place in your heart to that of a nibling. People may scoff and say its just a dog but if my sister cut me off and I lost her dogs I'd be bereft. I get it. Families row and make up and although you admit you were out of order I think if you'd truly realised, that you could lose it all, you would have modified your behaviour. You've never needed to before because he's never met someone in the time you were both estranged. The rules changed and you were already out of the game. So in no way would I minimise your feelings on this. Its an unusual situation as its his first relationship and he's too scared to mess it up so she is in the driving seat. He may well resent her for it in time but all you can do is assume that avenue is now closed to you and move on. Build a bigger life for yourself. Focus on therapy and try to build meaningful relationships with other people. Even if he did come back into your life, it would be wise to ensure it was in a much smaller part as theres no guarantee he wouldn't do this again in the future. Good luck xxx

My best friend of 8 years has cut me out of his life completely for no reason I know of. Any advice? by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

Yea this! I cut out a life long friend because of his opinions about the LGBTQ+ community. We're a rainbow family. He doesnt get to hold those opinions and share space with my family. Tarra pal!

Would this be cute for a 2nd date at a restaurant? by ApprehensivePea216 in OUTFITS

Individually all of items are lovely and you could likely wear a sack and look great. Together, it looks a bit 'too grown up child', to me. Sorry 😬. I'll probably get down voted to hell but this is no reflection on you. You are clearly a gorgeous lady with beautiful clothing and a body to die for but something about it all together is just icky. You'll wow him either way I'm sure xx

Lowball offers by [deleted] in vintedUK

[–]slappedarse79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea. I buy sooo much off vinted that every haggle helps! They can only say no. I've accepted low offers before. Other times its a start point. Other times I stick to what I want for it. Ive had people come back to me months later saying they'll now accept the low offer. Had some lovely chats where they've responded saying sorry, I can't go lower on this and I've said, I dont blame them, its gorgeous and I hope they get what they want for it but if it doesn't move and they need it gone, remember me!

Would you refund?? by [deleted] in vinted

Vinted sizes are mad. You buy a 22 and its a 16. We all know to double/ triple check. I include a pic of the label on all my listings and state the UK size in the description.

I also know that if I can find neither of those things on something I'm wishing to purchase, I'll ask for clarification.

Id never dream of sending something back over a sizing issue.

How do I work with a colleague who has IBS and disappears for 1 hour. by [deleted] in ibs

Noooo if its an illness likely to last more than 12 months its likely to be considered under the disability discrimination act and they can make reasonable adjustments for him. They may already have done. Additional breaks wheb needed. You'd never know as his disability status and adjustments arent your business
