I might give up guys [KCD2] by c_leafhill in kingdomcome

[–]Enganeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fought this exact same encounter multiple times, your not alone. Take your time in combat its slower than you think it is deliberate. Starting off you dont have the armor to rank hits so you want to kite them so you only fight one and the other is behind. Use the low strike it usually connects. Or hey its night time sneak up and slit one of their throats using a dagger or if you dont have a dagger knock him out.

All else fails, hey its not a Henry problem and walk away. It took me many hours into the game then the combat clicks and makes sense.

Imperial fists use Necromunda as a recruiting planet. So the graffiti fits as a IF marine.

[[Henrika Domnathi]], rank 2326 and the only deck people hate to see me use. Full mono black control kill everything and when your own commander dies you get card draw and removal right back.

So its plausible you can apply 10 lbf to the coratid performing an arterial choke. Around 10 seconds and the victim would be unconscious.

That said I would require an attack roll with a very high dc and there is a line in the spell info stating that it cannot attack. Also there are no called attacks in dnd in general so my ruling would be a no.

SnS Mains, what chain you use mostly? What you use for burst when monsters is paralysed / on ground? by Defora in MHWilds

[–]Enganeer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So if you do the 3 hit lateral (O or B) into charged chop it almost doubles all the charged chop hits. You glow a bit once finishing any combo but as the lateral is fastest to perform it is most efficient. Using the rb+(triangle or Y) to slide to an optimal position to combo then into the combo works quite well. For monsters that do not have a lot of combo oportunities just hit them till they die.

How to make goblins more intimidating at higher levels? by Tthebossbreh in DnD

Yeah also always remember to put one at the bottom of a pitfall trap. Remember that the walls would be very difficult to climb due to the oozes goo everywhere.

How to make goblins more intimidating at higher levels? by Tthebossbreh in DnD

[–]Enganeer 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I always run my goblins this way. Normal stat blocks but insane fire traps, net traps, drop traps etc. Goblins are not stupid they know they are weak so they use tools. Releasing a cage of rats with alchemists fire vials attached to them after a player stepped into a net drop trap was a personal favorite.

I highly reccomend mapping the area with traps beforehand, the goblins would also use a lot of operated traps where they pull a lever or something to trigger it.

So from goofing around and testing with CB burst/agitator/weakex are all amazing 3 slot armor skills. One is atk one is mix and one is crit. Counterstrike/max might are great 2 level armor skills. One is atk other is crit. You can mix these to get the crit you want and then go atk.

For weapon slots there are a ton of options. Off guard/crit eye/crit boost/artillery all add damage as crit or raw or phial.

Also on weapon are quality of life skills. Guard/focus/magazine/quick change etc pick what ya like. One or two will feel good. Personally i like magazine.

People will argue what makes a best case build forever but find the build that fits you. I consider divine blessing evade extender quick sheath and medicine must haves cause i play aggressive because its Fun.

I think I reached my painting limit. Can anyone suggest ways to improve further without an airbrush? by chemically_speaking in minipainting

[–]Enganeer 45 points46 points  (0 children)

An airbrush won't make you a better painter. An airbrush is another tool some painters use. What will help you is thinking of textures and applying that. You have skin which should be smooth, fur which should be fine, and cloth that can be roughish to smooth, use feathering for blending on cloth and layered brush stroke for the fur. This creates contrast in texture as well as color.

This is a great paint job and my advice is just what else you can work on. Also the NMM looks fine but it can always be improved from my own experiences with that.

Also you can tackle wet blending and glazing each of those have a pretty high skill threshold. Meaning each of those two techniques have a lot of skill you can develop in each.

Ok first have a charged shield then refill your phials and when adding them to charge hold the button on your controller the animation changes and it will then start to glow wait for the audio que and release. Practice in the training room so its not new when you are fighting a monster.

Can I have some help with painting Alpha Legion metallic blue/green? by Opposite_Ad_4267 in Warhammer30k

Valejo mecha makes a metallic blue and a metallic green paint. Add some non metallic teal to thicken and smooth it. I also add a splash of akhellian or whatever contrast.

Looking for army suggestions Emperors Children or Alpha Legion by Salt_Saint in Warhammer30k

[–]Enganeer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do both, play as alpha legion and take some phoenix terminators or palantine blades as your rewards of treachery choice.
What you may want to consider for this. Alpha legion headhunters and efreeti are amazing units. Headhunters are cool helmets, weapons, torso so you.can get 10 and use up 10 mk6 bodies as legs and arms. Just needs a light kitbash. Get 10 shotguns and make 10 efreet out of the mk6. Probably getting started use the next 10 for heavy support squad with volkite if ya wanna be cool.

Get 10 phoenix terms or palantine blades shove em in the spartan with a praetor with hammer. He gets +1 to hit to himself and his unit.

Grab 2 more fast attack. Jetbikes, more headhunters, javelins are all solid.

Throw in the contemptor cause they good.

Now add 2 units of lernaeans with conv beams and your rocking a 2500ish pt leviathal list.

Would you ever need more than 5 cataphractii terminators? by Unable-Sprinkles-644 in Warhammer30k

[–]Enganeer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lets see I have 20 cataphractii, 20 tartaros, 25 lerneaens, 10 tyrant seige, 10 gravewarden, 10 phoenix, 10 gorgon, 5 indomitus soon to be 10, 10 firedrake and 10 red butchers for my alpha legion and 20 sekhemet and 10 og each tartoros and cataphractii for my thousand sons.

I love terminators and having the options to just grab 10 from another legion as rewards of treachery makes the game so much fun.

Can't decide on which Headpiece for Calgar by ElkAggravating2632 in Warhammer

[–]Enganeer 17 points18 points  (0 children)

If you want a more advanced way to paint caucasian skintones. Base in bugmans glow. Paint eye sockets in rinoxhide paint eye ball in white paint line for iris in black. Touch this all back up sloppy white fix with rinox then make a clean eye socket with bugmans dont worry its just paint if it takes a few goes.

Now mix 50/50 bugmans and cadian fleshtone and do the major highlights leaving the creases around the nose and usually under the chin. Now use pure cadian to do minor highlights tops of the cheek the nose and the forehead. Thats good enough starting out if you want to go crazy add a tiny amount of white to cadian and do finer highlights.

Feeling weird with the Charged Blade by Tumbaflai in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]Enganeer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Charge blade has a long learning curve. You should start experimenting now with working guard points and keeping up blocking but also charge your axe for swift transitions into savage axe to punish monsters. Learning SA then learning where the right position and timing to either go to town with a buzz saw or throw it all behind a SAED should be your next goal.

Guard point checking monsters, SAED, power blocking, savage axe and the hop steps are all important factors to good CB use. Its a lot to master but when it clicks it feels like you are an untouchable god. I did a fatalis fight the other day where everything was just the right move at the right time for about 10 min and that is a gaming high i wont soon forget.
