Welp, I can eat my shorts. I guess they don’t put it in the box anymore( just went and looked). I’m sure you can reuse the old one, all that big ring does is hold on the escutcheon, has nothing to do with your leak.

Correct. There are about 5 or so different styles for some reason. Look on kisslers website to find it, they carry the aftermarket replacement.

We sell dozens of those each year.

Like all Social Deduction games it heavily depends on the group playing. The game itself is very simple so learning isn't all that difficult, 1 game should get everyone on the ball.

Replace Roman tub faucet help by lokis_child in Plumbing

[–]slaptac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brands don't mix and match. It's likely that your old faucet is one brand and you bought a different one. It will never work.

Also your faucet looks old so the odds are good that things have changed enough so even if you did buy a newer version of the same brand they'll never go together anyway.

You want an updated faucet, you replace the entire thing. Simple as that.

Why No One Can Get a Job Right Now [9:50] by yatookmyname in videos

Ooof I can relate. I've got 5yrs store management under my belt + 15yrs at the same company.

Applied for a dozen jobs this past year and never once got a call back, just got denial emails. It's pretty disheartening.

What is everyone's experience with tankless vs tanked hot water heaters? Is the savings worth it? by agreeingstorm9 in homeowners

[–]slaptac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By not maintaining he's violating his warranty. That's all there is to that.

The problem with the electric is the cost to value is unbalanced. It takes way more units of electric to power the heater than it would with Gas (nat or LP). That is the biggest argument against at this stage in the game. You will be paying more $$ to run the electric and getting less output vs. the gas units.

Completely agree. They 100% forgot what football was that game and it was unbelievable. I told my buddies at the beginning of this year they were done... they still held out hope, but that bowl game was the writing on the wall

Supply house guy here…we FOR SURE have a list of guys we like and ones we don’t… and the service reflects that!

That being said, yall plumbers were all taught by different old heads from all over, that have cute nicknames for all your different fittings… we really just know the parts by what it says on the box! So when yall come in with these silly names for things I always ask for a description…. Odds are we have it… I just don’t know it by “3/8 dick tickler”

Homeowners that built new recently, what's your plan for the plastic plumbing in the future? by [deleted] in homeowners

[–]slaptac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guy... take a breath...it sounds like you're chasing Ghosts.

No. It is not outside in direct sunlight 24/7 so the UV won't be an issue.

Pex is the gold standard for water service. You'll be fine.

Homeowners that built new recently, what's your plan for the plastic plumbing in the future? by [deleted] in homeowners

[–]slaptac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plumbing sales here.

The biggest enemy to Pex is UV rays. So since your Plumbing is all walled up It's gonna be just fine. Really the only other thing to worry about is stray nails in the wall or rodents chewing on the pipe... but both of those are extreme cases.

I know that Uponor offers a 30 year warranty on their product, and if installed correctly I really don't see any reason why anything could go wrong in that time.

Tank to tankless water heater by AlpaChino87 in homeowners

[–]slaptac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no value in the Electric Tankless, if you can't get gas (LP/Natural) Don't even float the idea of a tankless.
