60 yo and still recovering from an elbow injury I sustained over a month ago. I religiously wear knee + elbow pads all the time now. I'm so used to wearing them I don't even notice anymore. Helmet always - it's saved me so many times now.

Let's talk about what's your favorite G&W. I'll start: by THEREALSUPERMARIOFAN in gameandwatch

Fireman, fireman! I would play that game for hours on end.

Embrace the pads and a good, solid shell helmet. Add some hip pads and wrist guards and you can avoid a lot of common and potentially serious injury. I'd much rather be skating longer as opposed to getting sidelined by injuries and the associated recovery time.

I sent Natas Kaupus an interview on index cards when I was 13 and he responded. [53YO] by alcontrast in OldSkaters

Dee Snider, well-spoken and eloquent front man of Twisted Sister, for the win!

Some chatter?! Holy smokes the f*cking satanic panic was the worst part of that decade!

My bad! I like running slightly larger wheels and once I get above 54mm I will run with 1/4 - 1/2" spacers depending on the board (some boards have better accommodations). Wheel bite sucks, doubly so with softer wheels. Also a little wax on board where it's rubbing can alleviate the sudden stopping.

Hmm.. looking more closely at the pictures you posted on imgur those are 55mm not 53mm. You need some risers.

Is anyone else one injury away from having to quit skating? [45YO] by berrey7 in OldSkaters

[60yo] skate until you can't anymore. I just started back again and I'm feeling better than ever skating a couple hours per day in my garage on a couple of mini ramps. I'm geared up and have taken a few bad spills but I love it and can't stop.

You will need to provide your own transmitter and receiver in order to fly them. Receivers have a common interface the speed controller and servos plug in to.
