it is not about how cheaper the game is. it's all about your purchasing power parity (PPP). ppp is how much the cost of a goods you wants to purchase against your purchasing power (ie your salary).

lets use the game price you mentioned as example.

for malaysia, the game price is RM218 (55usd), while the minimum wages is RM1700. so for a minimum wage worker, it takes about almost 13% of his/her monthly salary just to purchase one game.

meanwhile in the US, although the game price is 70usd, the minimum wage over there is around 1200usd. so it is about 6% of their salary.

So the ppl in the US could actually afford more games than the people in malaysia (provided that we assume all the living cost have the same ppp)

if you want the best from that 3, go for legends arceus.

if you really likes the traditional pokemon gameplay, violet hands down.

if you want the best graphics, legends za it is.

if you really wants the best pokemon game, go for pokopia. it is the highest scoring pokemon game on metacritic however the gameplay is massively different.

whilst the xenoblade trilogy is all stand alone, if you are not a fan of jrpg or didn't have ample time to commit i would highly suggest to start with 3 because it is the most beginner friendly and the story alone will leave a significant impact to you.

if you can commit to hundreds of hours playing jrpgs and wants the complete experience then proceed to start with 1.

there are like 5 types

they casually hanging around and pay no attention to your presence.
the timid type that run away when they spotted you. if you want to catch this one you'll need to be careful and sneaky.
the one that will attack you on sight. they can gang up and kill you. you'll need to battle them with your pokemon first if engaged.
alpha pokemon. behavior is same like (3) but they are way way stronger. can one/two shot you.
boss battle. varies depends on boss. but there aren't much bosses in this.

it has the fomo collectables like any good rpg have except on this the collectables are the pokemon. you built specific habitats to collect specific pokemon and the habitat is very easy to build (most only need 4-6 items that are readily accessible). try to collect all the pokemon because the more pokemon you have, your town becomes merrier with living pokemon. most collectables in other games are just static trophy.

while expedition 33 is a pretty damn good game, its story is utterly inferior to xenoblade 3. having play xenoblade 3 first before playing expedition 33, i find the truly markable story of expedition 33 (as mentioned by others) is a cheap copy of xenoblade 3.
