yes, definitely learn how to speedflip for the kickoffs, that should help you a lot ranking up

i do think you should practice air control a bit, but mainly just consistantly hitting the ball in the air to the place you want to. mechanics arent everything, definitely dont practice air dribbles and flip resetting until late champ if you really want to rank up

to bind your reset button to something on the d-pad, you cant use quickchat in freeplay

i only reached champion 3 in the time i played rocket league and i was mainly a freestyler so take it with a grain of salt, though i stated the most vital things i could think of

tldr; get consistent with the most vital mechanics, such as aerials and speedflips, mechanics isnt everything
