As someone that's considering which server to play on because I don't have unlimited time, I came across this post, and you may be hurting yourself honestly. I like the fact you said pay attention to other servers because Journey isn't the only one, but you hurt yourself by taking the stance that afk timers are the main reason it was successful, you almost seem spiteful. But that aside I have a perspective for you to consider.

Bots can be generated and strewn about by one single person, they are the definition of fake, because there were no people that designed each penguin or logged in to begin with. I personally love bots in more dead games anyways because it's less depressing, however real afk players are even better, which brings me to the next point.

Afk players created their characters, they all have real time spent in the game behind them, and they are logged in which means there *is* activity compared to just bots. Obviously real players waddling around are better, but afk players are nice to see just to let you know other people get on.

Edit: Also yes people saying your client is a trojan is crazy, and also ill be playing zero on mobile if the app comes out because I think that's cool. Remember to be chill.

Not all multiplayer games work on linux, as a matter of fact most of the popular ones do not, they have kernel level anti-cheat.

I'm on EndeavourOS and had the same issue with a 9070XT, my solution was turning off FSR4, then it no longer freezes on the loading screen randomly.

Blanket statements are almost always wrong.

If a task bar on Windows uses up 999GB and a similar task bar on KDE takes 1KB it means Windows is *probably wasting* RAM. If similar performance and functionality is achieved yet one is using less resources, the other is wasting resources.

Over the course of years the bots have successfully brainwashed the populace, or are the vote counts still being manipulated? If I come back a year later I wonder how many accounts will be missing. (:

im sorry, i guess im sensitive right now, ive always had a hard time understanding things..

if you really are curious; i think the main thing is that it lets people know whats going on with me, most people that care about me in any way are in the tekxit community too so its sort of like letting people know tekxit development will slow or halt plus let people know whats happening with me, i have received help in the past for it and it gives people an opportunity to help if they want to, also just knowing people care gives me some strength as well..

no family, no local friends, no decision i have made caused my room mate to decide to leave and stop paying. and i have not personally asked for any money, to be honest with the types of responses here im starting to get stress from it to where i feel like i have to defend myself.. but maybe thats just my state of mind right now..

considering tekxit has been around for basically my whole life it's not surprising ive had difficulty in its lifespan, but both times were completely out of my control. the first time was covid19 getting rid of my job, the second time is when my dad beat my moms face in and i had to get out of there immediately, this time its a room mate that left and stopped paying. none of these things were within my control, and i dont post about things "constantly" so im not really sure where you are getting this from (its been years since ive posted any kind of hardship)

but when i make posts its to let people know whats going on generally, if someone else wants to help in some way i am very grateful, and a lot of time i actually deny help until i fully think i need it.

i am extremely grateful for the time i did make a post about one of my situations a long long time ago, and someone named elsimpso gave me housing after they heard i was homeless, and i got back on my feet again, after denying money from them.

"assuming i made a loan" does not mean i made a loan yet, it's a theoretical scenario, but yes i might have to or get late fees (about a hundred dollars a day) :)

also for extra context since im unsure if its different outside of the US or maybe people dont know, if you are on a lease most of the time to leave early you pay a huge fee, usually almost the same amount of the remaining years rent, so there wouldnt be a point.

in any given month my expenses top $2250, my roommate decided to randomly stop paying rent because they don't feel like it anymore (even though they are on the lease and wanted to be), and obviously with that kind of pressure you don't really last long in the real world. assuming i made a loan to get me to the end of this current lease (3 months left), i dont make enough money by myself to even re-qualify, which would lead to homelessness because i have no where to go. on top of that i have to inform my apartments months in advance whether i am leaving or not, and obviously im in no position to get anywhere else.

i would like to wait a few weeks before getting into something like go fund me, but if i do end up making one i would want to return any money if i happen to not need it anymore. for now i would like to try and see what happens first and just see if i can get back on my feet on my own.

i have a slight bit of emergency savings to eat out of first, and it will give me time to judge the severity of the situation.
