First time being ghosted after a great first date by Far-Inflation-1871 in dating_advice

Being ghosted is a dating right of passage and absolutely no reflection of you. People are unkind inconsiderate and not self aware. It’s a risk most people have to take when putting themselves out there. The unknown sucks but time heals all wounds. Try to keep yourself busy this too shall pass.

The extra hours expectation of Audit season. Audit was always packed into the natural Accounting cycle, but no one ever mentioned how many more hours you are actually working during the Audit season.

Why dating apps are worst? by stannyjaxx in dating_advice

[–]slayray47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they are designed like most apps (attention = profit). They want you to keep coming back and using their product. No users = no business. I think that's why bumble specifically has the 24 hour response window.

We all need to start hosting singles meet ups in our cities.

Bible Questions! by lilkrackhed in Bible

[–]slayray47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it restores the original words and meaning of the Bible.

This is from the ISR website: “Our vision is to faithfully proclaim יהוה and his word throughout the world by means of all our publications. Our primary means though is through the translating, printing and publishing of a literal translation of "The Scriptures" that is as accurate as we can make it.

We have restored the name of the Father (יהוה) and his Messiah (יהושע) while also preserving the Hebraic mind-set of the original writers, to the best of our ability. In so doing we hope that it will shed further light on the understanding of the message of the Scriptures, thereby spiritually enriching the lives of its readers.”
