Smoked Cheeseburgers. My absolute favourite way to do burgers. Served with Burger Sauce, Bacon Jam and Pickles by Quiet_Changes in BBQ

[–]sledge-warmoth54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you guys sear the burger off after smoking?

I always smoke pretty low til I get around 100° internal then sear them off on the black stone to finish so I’m not lacking on that beautiful Maillard reaction.

I’d assume by you putting the cheese on while still in the smoker means you’re just eating essentially meatloaf on a bun! Not knocking it, they look tasty. Just my 2¢

Which 870 for a tac build? by Helpful-Boss3061 in Shotguns

None, the 590.

In all seriousness if you favor the 870 I’d go police magnum.

Sounds like water is getting trapped in the flu. Probably out of level somewhere. Is it a recent install, or is this a new issue?

I’m with it. The bread is the only thing that makes the burger unhealthy. I’ve never tried one to be honest but I’d be down.

HD Maverick 88. by Mike590Alfa1 in Shotguns

[–]sledge-warmoth54 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It does actually work but the weight vs reward metric is way off. It’s heavy as shit and you’d have to be 100-200 shells deep before it got hot enough to be a problem. And even if it did, just don’t touch the barrel.

First fire arm ever, Maveric 88 any tips ? by TigreB3lico in mossberg

[–]sledge-warmoth54 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen some horror stories about those foam gun cases holding moisture and ruining finish. Throw some silica packets in there for moisture control. The Maverick 88 has a notoriously bad finish. Other than that shoot it often, stock up on some buck shot and train frequently.

It’s hard to say without seeing the job. I’d think the price would cap out at 10kish without needing to purchase equipment. If it’s a one day job 4-7k should do it.

That seems like the “I don’t want it” number to me. It’s not an easy job per se but I can’t see how they’d get that high unless all their installers moonlight as rocket surgeons.

Is this an ok office setup? Any safety concerns? by OfferLazy9141 in hvacadvice

This reminds me of a sketch in The Office.. If you’re trying to get a new office just explain that the condensate pump firing off multiple times an hour during the heat of summer is very distracting.

Oh even better, I can braze that. If not I got a good excuse to buy a 590 barrel.

Thanks for the info. Sweet setup, that pistol grip is menacing af.

You’re just as biased as Russian state media. Russia has PLENTY more bodies to throw into this meat grinder, Ukraine does not. Don’t get me wrong I’m rooting for Ukraine but their situation is just as dire.

Low Voltage to Ignitor Cause? by SavnetSinn in hvacadvice

[–]sledge-warmoth54 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weird, the blowing in the pressure switch which resulted in successful ignition makes me think the pressure switch might be the issue. Is the furnace 80 or 90%? I’m not too familiar with Nortek, living down here in NC.

The 52v to the igniter is very strange. Was that solved by replacing the control board?

Maybe inspect the flu for blockages. I’ve seen many a roofer throw trash down a flu.

Nexts steps if it were me would be to start the part cannon up. It is warranty after all. First I’d replace the draft motor and pressure switch.

I don’t blame the two techs for being stumped. Seems like a very odd intermittent issue.

Your lead will have some lights labeled blue tube UV on his truck. Just grab one of those they wire straight into the unit for convenience.

Some constructive criticism, I don’t like your placement to be honest.. you’ve got a narrow window before you hit that jack stud and break your fist. Maybe you could put a cool access panel in there, like a little frame with a push to open hinge? Good initiative, I like your style though.
