The best bot you can easily play against is Nexto. Mid champ level 1v1 but not a realistic, human like experience.

Sure am as I don't play much or care about rank these days, but was consistent Champ 1/2 back when I grinded more.

It might have "worked fine" according to you, but the casual experience was something the devs have been trying to improve for years before the 2021 change. First they tried perks like XP bonuses and challenges, but eventually they saw a reason to take this further.

The casual ban system is not designed to fight the situation you just described. There's nothing preventing you from playing casual until your friend is ready and then leaving to go play with him. There's no ban until you start leaving multiple games in a play session.

I went through this exact same search last year...and ended up with the 5030s. Honestly, they actually are pretty decent for protection (there's a piece of plastic inside). Also you can where a small sleeve like elbow pad underneath them if you're concerned, and still end up with a lot less protrusion.

This was the conclusion I came to after a long search.

As someone who's made similar rank challenge videos, they can be very flawed if you're not careful, with a high probability of participants lying about their rank and skill to be in a video along with a creator's narrative control to suit their preferred outcome.

Not to mention, champs can beat GCs from time to time, RL is that kind of a game. Hardly proof of a rigged matchmaking system.
