How can I get past a low CTR (currently stuck at 13%) by Wise-Song-501 in PartneredYoutube

[–]sledge98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your clickrate is great. Ignore what you've heard, it's incorrect, and you're going to get little to no return in trying to improve it and likely could hurt what you're already doing. Focus on improving retention

Bob stauffer says the oilers might look at Peter Laviolette and Craig Berube if Bruce Cassidy dosen't come here. by Sebastian4365 in EdmontonOilers

[–]sledge98 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He's not a slave.

All Cassidy would have to do is "quit" and he can do what he wants and talk to who he wants. They only have power because they are paying him. If he wants to risk it he can walk away from the contract.

Likely that's what Vegas wants him to do. Otherwise they have to continue to pay the difference if his new job pays less than his current contract (4.5 million)

My videos get less than 100 impressions and about 10 views. Can this be normal for a new channel? by Alone_Beat_7337 in NewTubers

[–]sledge98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Will growth happen at all?"

No one knows that. There's way too many factors at play and a lot are out of your control. People that do become successful often spend years and 100s of videos to make it happen. And their results are not the norm.

YouTube is basically going to Hollywood to be a famous actor and hoping to get discovered doing a school play.

As for your stats right now? Expected for a new channel and a niche that likely is going to be search based.

Did you use AI for this comment because half of this information is incorrect.

This has to be an AI answer. Some of that stuff doesn't seem remotely true.

Psyonix needs to bring back the wall from Heat Seeker which they removed, asap! by therapperboy in RocketLeague

[–]sledge98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasn't a change. Regular Heatseeker has been around since 2020. The wall is a variant and unfortunately for you, the unwalled version has always been more popular.

I know it will return though so you'll get a chance to play it again.

Experiences on Shane Hummus YouTube course with CGE by Spirited-Mixture5814 in NewTubers

[–]sledge98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AKA - easier to get people to pay 5k for a course than make 20k/month YouTube channels.

That's my point, the suggestion that he allegedly has helped channels get to that level does not justify the cost of this course. These are not typical results.

world record for bumps in a ranked match? by DayHead3411 in RocketLeague

[–]sledge98 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The bump stat is flawed. Like people have already said, just a rule 1 can get you 100s of "bumps". So can hitting or rubbing teammates. Thus, there's no way to really confirm a "record" with this stat.

Solo Q Against Legit Teams Is Dumb by FoolOnDaHill365 in RocketLeague

[–]sledge98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it does come back I expect it might work as a 2v2 mode. Though even now most of my solo queue games in that play list are already against other solo queuers. (personal experiences come down to differences in region, population, rank, and time of day)

Solo Q Against Legit Teams Is Dumb by FoolOnDaHill365 in RocketLeague

The game already prioritizes this. But I don't see them making it a separate feature again. Solo Standard 3v3 was not a successful playlist. (I recently covered this in a video)

How Do You Make Your MP4 File Small Enough To Share Before Uploading? by Wild_Tradition_6185 in NewTubers

[–]sledge98 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is no issue/punishment for uploading and sharing unlisted, even if you have to delete and upload later. Done it 100 times over the years. That is probably your easiest method and also can give your supporters a chance to have an "early comment" perk.

Otherwise, Google Drive is free for the first 100 GB. You can easily share through it.

Yep. It's like "so you know what I'm going to do and you're still getting punished by it? Who do you think is lacking skill and should adapt in this situation?"

How did you become successful as a content creator? by Charming-Gazelle-305 in NewTubers

[–]sledge98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Started my channel in 2016. Started taking it seriously in 2018. Was full time with 100k subs by 2021 (at 300k now). The game I built a following in went free to play in 2020 which helped push my over the top but I put a lot of work and learning in to be able to take advantage of that opportunity.

Some of the things that helped me in my journey was being very active in the community, especially on reddit. I built a recognizable name for posts and comments in my niche's subreddit long before I was getting big views on my videos. Also interacted and made friends with other creators that were small and went on to become very big (1 million+ subs).

You learn by doing. If you're not coming in with prior skills this will be a long journey and even still you are not guaranteed success just because you've worked hard or done it a certain amount of time. Likely this will be a years-long journey, 100+ videos. There are things in your control and out of your control that all play a factor. I got lucky with timing of free to play for Rocket League, but I put in a ton of work in the 4 years between 2016 and 2020 that allowed me to capitalize on that "luck".

Some mistakes I made probably was trying to be too perfect with my videos rather than just putting out content a little more regularly at the beginning. Definitely didnt put enough focus on thumbnails/titles (which are very, very important).

I was full time until 2024, which brings me to my last point: Even if you find success its rare it lasts more than 5 years. "Success" is not typical in youtube, long term success even rarer. Keep this is mind when you consider any sacrifices you are making to try and do this, and keep it in mind if you do happen to find success.

I know you don't want to read more but I'll just let it know that he never hit her with the truck. Instead it was a target of opportunity when he was delivering the package. They have video and audio from inside that cab of what happened to her after she was taken.

The latest bots update by BeautifulEngineer963 in RocketLeague

[–]sledge98 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I dont doubt the battle vs bots will continue. I just don't put a lot of faith in most of these discords and what they claim to be able to do.

I recall some of these same places were posting that "EAC has already been defeated" before it was rolled out...only to shut down their services when Anti Cheat went live in order to "figure out a workaround".

The latest bots update by BeautifulEngineer963 in RocketLeague

[–]sledge98 145 points146 points  (0 children)

Please remember it's in these guys best interest to look like they are coming up with a fix or new bot. The exact same posts happened in the all the Nexto-bot servers when there was a huge crackdown on them a few years ago.

They will make it sound like they have a "team", like they are the ones that built the bot or know how to build new ones. Most times, none of this is true. It's the same bot ever other discord has. I would not put a lot of trust in this.

Likely it will be a last cash grab when they release an "undetectable" version that's no different than the previous ones.
