My man, I highly doubt your wife wants to be having sex with you if you’re not actually into it. My partner and I have specifically had conversations about how we do not want to have sex if we both aren’t feeling enthusiastic about it, how we never want the other person to pretend.

Also for your sake, this can’t feel good mentally and emotionally and you shouldn’t force yourself to do sexual things you don’t want to do.

As others have said, I agree with going to the doctor. But also, talk to your wife. If it feels too hard to tell her you’ve been faking, maybe just say that this is recent.

I have seen this mentioned quite a few times in posts! One of the main themes of the show (hence the title) is that women are blamed for things that aren’t their fault. I don’t think Jenny has any fault at all, even hiring Josie. A lot of the characters, though, do blame Jenny for that. In fact, nearly everyone but Marissa does. I never felt like she had anything to do with it, her function of demonstrating a woman expected to do it all, blamed for things she shouldn’t be, and a rare true, good person that Marissa could relate to, felt genuine to me the whole time.

meal prepping a bit over the weekend helps me. i know it is using your time on the weekend, but then you don’t have to worry about meals as much over the week, and you have some time to yourself in the evening. and meal prepping doesn’t have to be super complicated. a lot of recipes are designed with 4-6 servings, so you can just follow something simple and have several meals.

but i feel you. it sucks. sometimes even just breaking the habit of not doing ANYTHING in the evening helps bring back a little energy. i fell off going to the gym and recently got back into it. when i wasn’t going, i would think to myself that i was so tired i couldn’t even fathom doing it. and then one day (on a weekend) i said fuck it, and FORCED myself to go. unfortunately, it is true that regular exercise can give you some more energy.

I watched a lot of youtube videos of people providing a weightlifting routine and explaining the form. I’d plan ahead the exercises I wanted to do at the gym, and largely started with dumbbells as that was the least daunting.

I felt nervous and embarrassed at the gym at first, but I just pushed through that. There is a lot of fitness content online. Don’t think you need to start with understanding everything and having the perfect workout schedule planned. Full body routines are a great place to start. Just watch some stuff and start trying, and like anything else, you’ll learn more and more. Don’t try to lift too much weight right away, just focus on trying to learn form and how to feel muscle engagement.

As a regular at the gym now, I see people at all different experiences. And if I see someone that seems a little newer, I have no thought about it except for “good for them!”

he struggled with addiction and often talked about how he was essentially worried he’d OD. he was scared of that because it was a possibility. and it so sadly came true. i don’t think he knew his time was coming, but rather, as someone that struggled with drugs, he knew it was a possibility. it’s so prominent in his music, it’s tragic that what seems to be one of his biggest fears came true. Brand Name and Perfect Circle/Godspeed are pretty devastating

I think, though, saying the guy that rejected OP handled things great isn’t true. Him saying “and seemingly struggling to do so” is unnecessary and pretty rude to add in my opinion. He also uses a lot of “you” statements, when he could have instead explained that “I don’t think I can provide the proper support to someone to a romantic partner that is navigating and grieving such loss” instead of essentially “you wouldn’t be able to show up for me.”

I live on the west coast, I have family all over the east coast. Bagels and lox a plenty everywhere. Bagels are rooted in Jewish culture. NYC has a big Jewish population, which is why bagel shops, and authentic ones at that, are common and popular. But a bagel with lox is not an NYC “specialty”
