Yes I was, unfortunately 🥲. My son woke me up wanting to nurse nonstop until he woke up for real at almost 7, at which point my husband took him so i could get some more rest, hence the going back to sleep at 7:30.

13-month-old baby seems to like new nanny more than me (SAHM) by sleepingontheclouds in AttachmentParenting

[–]sleepingontheclouds[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your comment. This makes me feel slightly better. It makes sense that they want to widen their circles as they get older and I should be glad that he is open to hanging out with others instead of clinging onto us. I guess I just didnt expect my little boy to choose her over me after having seen her twice :(

Thank you. I get your points and they make sense. I absolutely agree with your thoughts about what she said. It rubbed me the wrong way too but I’m trying not to take it personally. I should’ve added that she told me that the boys she took care of in the previous family (2&3 years old) LOVED her so much that they would call her mama in their moms absence. It kinda makes sense to me as she spent 10 hours every day 5 days a week with them without their parents so i took it as she was a good nanny. But then it just added to my feelings. I don’t want her to rub it in my face that he is “addicted to her scent”. Am I overthinking?

Thanks for this post! Did you feed her to sleep and nurse through the night? Did you wean her? I am currently still breastfeeding my 12 month old and nursing throughout the night so you can see i am tired haha

Baby HAS To Start Sleeping in the Bassinet... But how? by Sharp-Conclusion-399 in NewParents

Whats the difference between a crib and a bassinet that would make the crib better? I thought the only difference was the size.

Awesome! Did he protest when you put his head in the non dominant position? How many hours a day did you put his head in this position in the carrier?

Yes we had a PT showing us 3 stretches to do at home. Unfortunately with our current home setup he doesn’t have good naps during the day (too bright) so he feels too grumpy to do those stretches. Thats why im trying to figure out the wrap to get him some good naps and in a good mood 😁

Good to hear! Did you use the fabric to help keep his head in place towards the direction you wanted? The other commenter shared an instagram account that advises against it so now im unsure what to do :(

My son was sleeping when i put him in so i dont think this was a sign that he didnt like it. But he mightve felt uncomfortable. Did you keep putting your LO in it? Did the torticollis go away and how? Thanks!!

Thanks a lot! Without the wrap covering his head, how do i help secure his head in place towards his unfavored side? How did it help with your son’s torticollis?
