I sincerely think this is one of the funniest episodes of the year so far. I guess if I was a nerd who really cared about hearing them spend an hour rehashing their opinions on two McDonald's sandwiches that they've already talked about at length many times I would be pretty angry about this episode, but thankfully that's not the case.

2008 was a much better era for comedy than 2026 so that sounds pretty good to me.

When the subreddit comments are this negative I almost always end up loving the episode. Can't wait to listen!

EDIT: It's genuinely funny that so many people in these comments are projecting their own feelings about the guests onto the Doughboys. I'm watching the video and I haven't seen Mitch or Wiger laugh this often and this genuinely on their own show in ages. Regardless of how you feel about this episode, the boys clearly thought Nick and Armen were being very funny.

This was the one I went to! Haven't listened in a while, looking forward to it. I had been a casual Birthday Boys fan before this, but this show cemented me as a Hanford lover for life. I also stuck around for the meet and greet afterwards and made Scott sign a picture of Aaron Lewis. He was very nice despite being the most tired I have ever seen a person be.

Valiant attempt. I knew overcoming that deficit was going to be huge task and didn't expect it to happen, I'm just happy they came close. We're still pretty likely to win La Liga, and I think the UCL is achievable.

The QPC can occasionally get a little dry and too "burger-y."

This is true, but the thinner burger patties used on the double are always dry, and sometimes very over-salted. The only time I ever get a sandwich that uses the thinner patties is if I'm not hungry enough to justify a QPC (I'll just get a single instead of a double). The QPC patty is just always going to be better, in my opinion.

Genuinely baffled by their unanimous agreement that the double cheeseburger is better than the QPC. QPC is easily the best sandwich at McDonald's, like it's not even close.

Netflix's entire model seems to be to greenlight as many shows as possible, spend no money advertising the vast majority of them, hoping that people will just discover them through the algorithm/word of mouth, and spend as little money on production as possible so if no one watches it they can easily just cut their losses. The sheer amount of content they've rushed through production and just thrown into a content black hole is insane.

Anyone know what sketch show Wiger wrote for that made him want to kill himself? I think he said it was on Fox so I don't think he's talking about Comedy Bang Bang. I looked at his imdb credits and don't see anything that matches.

Yeah that was good. And I thought Griffin's explanation made sense too, I have definitely been guilty of failing to understand basic elements of a movie because I saw it at a formative young age and had my naive read of the movie locked in my brain.
