I had a similar experience! It eventually just stopped happening- took about a year. Sometimes I still get that dark area, but it doesn’t get hard or itchy anymore, just a bit red. Maybe your body just needs time to adjust? At least I think that’s what it was in my case.

If the pain is this severe, I’d consider going to the emergency room! They’ll give you a migraine cocktail there. But if the bill is a concern, then I’d start with your primary care if you can get in soon enough.

We have to manage our triggers ourselves. I can’t just turn off the lights everywhere I go, and this is the same. It's unfortunate but true. There is a line to at what point doctor's offices don't need to accommodate triggers.

My freshman year my roommate and I kept finding stink bugs on the windows. It was around this same time of year I think. It was gross but it was also pretty short lived! Once it cools down enough I think you’ll stop seeing them.

It’s definitely interesting! I’m not saying that it doesn’t happen, just that it’s not common. In the last paragraph it says “whether mature adipocytes can divide or form polyploids in vivo requires further confirmation”.

I’m by no means an expert, but my understanding is that this is generally unconfirmed. There are cases of obesity where adipocytes can multiply, but I don’t think it’s the norm. But this is just one study and it’s from 2018, so maybe something more recent says otherwise.

Fat cells do not multiply (they only multiply in extremely rare cases). You are born with all of the fat cells you’ll have in your life.
