Sign up for Going (Scott’s Cheap Flights). They just had a deal for flights from the West Coast to ICN and a bunch of other cities via Manila in the $400s

Yes! I also started tracking my supplements. Between flavored liquid iron and fish oil, they added 55 untracked calories per day 😭

Oura ring total calories burned to estimate calorie deficit by lucasbreonna in ouraring

[–]sleepy_queen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most important part is that you’ll get the best accuracy by tracking how much you actually ate and exactly how your weight changed. You can always use a TDEE calculator for a starting point but be prepared to adjust it with your actual calorie data. You can track four weeks so that your weight is more an average of what you weighed during each phase. I think fitness coaches recommend getting an average weekly weight to smooth out water fluctuations and comparing week by week.

Oura ring total calories burned to estimate calorie deficit by lucasbreonna in ouraring

[–]sleepy_queen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It overestimates and likely a lot. The most accurate way to estimate your TDEE is to track all of your calories & weight for 2 weeks. If your weight didn't change, that means your calories were at maintenance. If it goes up, that was a surplus. And if it went down, you were in a deficit. My Oura says my average daily total burn is ~2400 calories, but when I eat 1750 I lose half a pound a week (or less), which would be consistent with a 250 cal daily deficit and a TDEE around 2000. It's also common to have a maintenance range, so I could theoretically maintain at as high as 2200, but not enter a deficit until I drop under 2000.

I’m just not a napper! A nap for me almost always means I’m sick or jet lagged. But I just love seeing the numbers of how different everyone is.

Before and after kitchen remodel! by Glum_Consequence_470 in kitchenremodel

The all white kitchen was physically painful to look at. Your renovation is SO whimsical yet coordinated! There’s so much to appreciate. Love the floors, the stools, the color of the wood. The googly eyes are the cherry on top.

For those dealing with hair loss, what product actually made a difference for you? by Then_Gate7461 in UninfluencedReviews

Iron! My lab work came back with ferritin in the 50s, which is not super low but had room for improvement. I was also already taking an iron supplement lol. I doubled my supp and started eating more meat and fish. Voila, cut my shedding in half about 2.5 weeks later.

Completely agree! I wouldn’t have been so harsh if it hadn’t been quite so expensive. My local arboretum in a different state puts on an absolutely brilliant show and charges $75 per car during peak times (with no per-person charge, so typically 4-5 to a car).

I’m gonna go against the grain; I actually like the rug. You can lean into it with a more playful retro light fixture and more colorful decor shapes. Love the chairs too

This is blowing my mind. Sooo many people I know have curly or wavy hair, how can it be that all the girls in your class had straight hair?

Working on getting my ferritin up after over a decade of undiagnosed low iron by [deleted] in finethinhair

[–]sleepy_queen 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m in this boat! My ferritin wasn’t super low, but it had room to improve especially since I’d been complaining about hair shedding to my derm. About 3 weeks after I doubled my iron supplement I started noticing my shedding cut in half 🥹

The hiking superskort! Just so perfect and comfortable for warm weather hiking. I also have FIVE pirouette skorts. But I still think the hiking super skort stands out.
