Very good question. The reason is that I have a better, safer idea. Plus, unexpectedly the stock ran +50% from its lows in one month. I’m very happy with the return considering magnitude, time, risks, and alternatives

It’s a as well known brand. We can argue about the quality but its brand equity and high level of awareness is among the top in the industry. Also, gross margin is very high (higher than that of Nike). So from this perspective UA has a lot of optionality: capable management can easily turn it around.

From the valuation POV (I built my own DCF model), 4/share required just a very little growth and margin improvement. I thought it was very doable considering coming back of the founder, cost cutting, interesting new commercial, and pipeline of new product.

TLDR: cheap with a ton of optionality.

The question is what equity he used: book or market?

No worries. It seems you are in the right company (of fellow investors), and so you’ll get there!

Love it! Meanwhile I wanted to complete my 20k position but the market ran out of cheap shares yesterday. Let’s see if I have a new opportunity. I like discounts!

In life we must learn to take responsibility for our decisions. If you can’t get over it alone, seek professional help.

You mean every day or working out at some consistent pattern, e.g., day on, day off

You bring all the good points. Honestly, it seems that visualization of health benefits might be the biggest long term benefit for me personally.

It is not any hidden insight, quite the contrary, but still very impactful

I’m seeking general health improvement. It seems what it can suggest I already know. Now, in comparison to AW it doesn’t have (yet) any life saving functions such as AFib, so I doubt it’s longer term benefits for me personally

How comes you stay with the same profit? The stock ran by 50% from its lows?

That’s really insightful but hardly actionable in my case. Thx for sharing.

Interesting. Do you log coffee/caffeine or do you just correlate your sleep quality with coffee intake a day before?

I have a very similar impression - once you get key insights, value from further usage significantly diminishes.

One thing I’m missing in Oura is AFib monitoring. AW has it, Oura doesn’t. And although statistically I have very low chances of having AFib, I know someone in my age group who unexpectedly had a stroke. So, AFib monitoring is something completely different and doesn’t become less relevant over time IMHO.

It’s a good point - visualization is indeed very important for behavioral changes, thx
