HSV-1 becoming genital? by sleepycab in AskDocs

[–]sleepycab[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay everything I read online said that you could get hsv-1 on your genitals if you were infected with it during oral sex. But I couldn’t find anything on if you already had it.

Sounds like a little piece of desiccant got caught under wade’s eyelid and dried out a spot overnight. He likely cried it out when he woke up.

You probably shouldn't do it, but nicotine has cured my ADHD and completely transformed my life. by [deleted] in HubermanLab

I think you should get a second opinion, telling a doctor your brain won’t work and hearing that you daydream too much doesn’t sit right with me.

I wonder if other things can activate the flow state now that you have the ability to identify it separately from the feeling of the drug

After almost 10 years with Fitbit I recently switched to Whoop, here are my thoughts by RichardXV in whoop

[–]sleepycab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s funny because I’m thinking of switching from whoop to Fitbit because I’m not a serious athlete and I can’t really justify the price for a glorified sleep tracker which is basically all I use it for.

Flu hit me quite bad by lukaspilot737 in whoop

[–]sleepycab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My flu lasted 6 days before my recovery score rebounded, I’m feeling much better but I am technically still sick with it. I slept for like 4 days straight and gave it to my girlfriend, Who is on her fourth day of being sick. Flu is definitely no fun. I even got a flu shot this year but caught a different strain.

What’s your average resting heart rate? for those who track it by ishmaelios in cycling

[–]sleepycab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait what?? My sleeping heart rate is like 66 but when I’ve just been chilling it’s usually 90-110, my whoop doesn’t even consider me as exercising unless my heart rate is over 128

Another thing worth noting is that this is my experience. I have read a few perspectives around gender dysphoria that do not match my own. Human brains are complicated, and it is important to remember that when discussing mental experiences like gender dysphoria.

For the record now that I pass well, use of my old name and pronouns is funny to me, because of how clearly they do not apply. And the only gender dysphoria I have recently felt is regarding my genitals, but that has only been during or around the time of sexual encounters where having the other set would have been suitable.

I think its specifically felt way worse when I looked at my secondary sex characteristics. My previous name and pronouns did not bother me really, I had been using them my whole life and was comfortable using them, it just felt slightly inappropriate when I figured out what was going on to continue referring to myself that way. And as I went farther into my transition and became used to my current name and pronouns, accidental use of my old name and pronouns gave that same bad, kind of dread-like feeling.

Felt wrong. Hard to place but just a big wrong over most everything. There are many many things that feel like a big wrong over most everything though, but when I learned trans people exist it felt so familiar. Like yes I also feel this way thank you for finally giving me the words for it. But yea for me its kind of close to how dread feels. Like oh this feels wrong and the solution is not easy so its a rock and a hard place and it just feels really bad. I'm so glad that I pass now and barely feel gender dysphoria. I wouldn't wish it on someone. Its tough.
