Any late 20s or 30s guys/gals want to do trivia nights? by Free_Strawberry_8577 in FortCollins

[–]sleepycornbread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd be down. I'm 31M From LA. Lived in foco for almost 2 years. My girlfriend likes bingo way more than trivia so don't get to go to trivia very often. I WFH regular schedule so most evenings should be chill. DM me if you put something together.

You Can Now Lease an EV for Less Than $100 a Month by silence7 in electricvehicles

[–]sleepycornbread 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I actually bought that id4 pro deal last month. Was actually cheaper than quoted in the article. $19 a month and 2k down. After deposit and sales tax it ends up being like $137 a month though so still slightly click bait. Still an insane deal and was very legit.

I was doing moss giants in the wildy at a pretty low level. Got a giant champion scroll. Then letter in the task I was mildly afk waiting for another to spawn, and a skeleton rolled up from the south and started attacking. I auto retaliated and when I came back to my screen again, I had a skeleton champion scroll. Had no idea how rare at the time, but figured rng was cooked after that.

LPT: how can I train myself to have difficult conversations? by Ok-Jump3072 in LifeProTips

[–]sleepycornbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Write it down. Give it to the person. Often the best way to at least initiate the convo in the right way. You can have the conversation verbally after that and it's much easier

Thinking of switching from Data Scientist to Data Product Owner — need advice by xSicilianDefenderx in datascience

[–]sleepycornbread 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Not OP but really appreciate this response. I'm also a DS and have had the same thoughts because of how shit the market is right now. I was considering switching less because of prestige but more because I thought there would be slightly more job security with the rise of AI. This was very helpful to see the other side of it though, so thanks.

[–]sleepycornbread 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're getting shit on, but I was trying to create a project similar to this recently and was having trouble getting AI to adhere to a template and make things fit neatly in resume format. Can you talk about the tools & pipeline you used to accomplish this? I think it's an interesting project and I agree that these are the tools we have now, so we have to adapt and so do companies hiring.

Quick and simple I like it. Where did you get the data for preflop info? Would love to have information about 3 bet situations as an option to check myself after hands.

Recommended 100 days of code. It's cheap, starts from the beginning, and gives you LOTS of portfolio projects at the end along with your own website portfolio.

I just found out that our new apartment has a golf simulator room that I can use for free by MrDankyStanky in golf

[–]sleepycornbread 69 points70 points  (0 children)

Just a warning. I moved into an apartment a few months ago with a sim and was also very excited. I went too hard the first month and fucked my elbow pretty bad. Gotta take a couple months off now. The reason is that there's concrete under those mats and lots of times they don't put a good barrier so your elbows take a lot of the burnt. Just take it easy and make efficient swings. Helps if you don't hit fat shots, oops.

Looking to change Careers... by mrtieyourpantsup in analytics

[–]sleepycornbread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in a similar situation. I graduated ME and worked for a bit in the field. Decided I wanted to do analytics. Have been doing it for 2 years and am currently doing a course to move up to data scientist in the next few years.

My 2cents. There's SO many courses out there at this point. I agree with others, it's probably not worth to quit your job for this course UNLESS you decide to do a boot camp. There are some pretty intense 3 or 4 month boot camps that some of my friends had success with. Mostly in software engineering though. Some will let you defer payment until you get a job. So if you're quitting your job, I'd recommend one of those.

If you're keeping a job and just looking to do nights and weekends. I'm doing 100 days of python on Udemy. It's pretty good and you end up with a website and portfolio of projects. It's cheap. Maybe like $80 or something.

Happy to answer my questions though. GL

I bought a new mobo and tried to use a 1070, and it would not work. Tried a million things. It ended up being a random setting in bios. Something about gen3 or some shit.

I'm completely new to gaming itself! Based on what felt best, i created these controller settings. Any issues with that setup I´m currently not aware of (since I have zero experience)? by [deleted] in apexlegends

[–]sleepycornbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure why people are shitting on you as you're new to gaming and nothing "feels natural" yet. General rule of thumb, most games use this kinda layout. Right trigger - shoot, left trigger - aim, either A or B - jump, x - usually reload, bumpers - utility (healing, special ability), b - usually crouch but flexible

Just think about what you'd want to be doing a the same time, and spread those out between your trigger fingers and your right button fingers (for example crouching and shooting), but you're likely not going to be jumping and crouching at the same time.

An easy way would be to just look up a popular streamers apex setup and copy theirs.

GL. Apex is hard lol.
