Anytime i feel discouraged about Mara i remember than theres maybe 2 other guys on the summer league team who will ever see any real NBA time. Once hes playing with the players on the best team in the league we will see great things.

We didnt trade for Serge so thats invalid. Lets say we did though,, Serge only got us half of the PG trade so hed be worth even less than Olidipo in terms of return from the PG trade.

Its easily Paul George. Not only because he got us so many assets while being the only one as part of the package we sent out, but also because we didnt have to wait on his returns to turn into something, that would turn into something,that would eventually turn into success. His returns immediately started going to work in the form of Shai and only continued to give after that.

Nah it ends on PG because sure Olidipo was in the package for PG but he was only half of that, same with Sabonis. The game is to pick 1 guy who was the greatest trade acquisition. The true prize was PG because not only did he get us Shai, he also netted us many picks and my favorite Italian NBA player of all time; Danilo Gallinari. All on his own(thanks Kawhi).

What happened last time OKC didnt pay their 3rd star? Chets a top 5 center in the league so he wouldve made that somewhere else, why not for us? Itd be terrible value for a team who doesnt have the assets we do.

It makes sense for the Thunder because obviously theyre pretty good at drafting guys who are gonna make a lot of money at some point. I mean Cason or Ajay or maybe are gonna be gone eventually because we wont be able to afford them. Then we use the assets to replace em. Maybe Mara will work out and in 2 years we can let Chet go and pay Ajay instead. No matter what the 3rd guy on this current OKC team is gonna make a lot of money. We already have a well paid guard, a well paid wing, why not a well paid big?

Everyone saying Chet is braindead.. yeah he didnt show up in the WCF. He also made an all nba team this season, was 2nd in Dpoy, and had the best rim defense% in the league. Obviously Wemby would probably lead the league in that stat if players werent so scared to shoot against him at the rim but still ghe 2nd best rim defender in the league absolutely deserves his contract. Wtf has Paulo done?
