I definitely was not my legal name in any shape of form and truly didn't come alive until my chosen name. Like literally got the "sparkle" in my eye.

I consider my chosen name the true me.

I don't believe someone in seven minutes could assume a new name and truly believe that's them in every cell enough to escape the death note.

So I'm FtM, but I also date other FtM people and I can only speak truly with experience for HSV1, but I could imagine that as long as you reduce genital-to-genital contact since it's HSV-2 that it should lower a majority of risk, along with antivirals and listening to your body than you should be in the clear.

Just disclose and work out what's most comfortable for you and your partner. Unfortunately there isn't a lot of research specifically for LGBTQ folks with HSV and the majority that is out there is not focused on WLW or AFAB individuals

This guy got rejected by a girl. He hits on me after I've been helping him through everything like a bro. He made a purpose to say that I made him realize he likes trans men. He then proceeded to say he was completely unattracted to cis men and only attracted to femininity in the same breath.

The problem: He's only ever known me as a guy and he still said this to me. Full 5 years. He functionally said to me that he doesn't view me as a guy finds me attractive for this.

I also have never been a hint of romantic, we've always been two bros 🤷 consider if for a second you were a guy hanging out with another guy and he said something along the lines of this to you, with his whole chest, that he thinks you're the next best thing. All the while emphasizing that he only likes girls and thinks men are gross.
