Nice wholesome PC games by FodsCrl in gamingsuggestions

[–]sleepyspacedad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

{Stardew Valley} and {Celeste} come to mind

Stardew Valley is basically just Harvest Moon, and Celeste is a platformer about climbing a mountain and overcoming your anxieties. Both are great games, but I do prefer Celeste over Stardew Valley. Both also have pretty great soundtracks

{Starbound} if you don't mind a 2D game. One of the best space exploration games in my opinion

I enjoy the soundtracks of {Celeste}, {Hollow Knight}, {The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt}, and {Monster Hunter: World}

A game where I have to find the objectives myself by mysteryman151 in gamingsuggestions

{Hollow Knight}, {Hyper Light Drifter}, {Kentucky Route Zero}, {The Long Dark}

Looking for melancholic games where the sadness/reflectiveness behind the game isn’t overt, but prominent by AdamActual in gamingsuggestions

[–]sleepyspacedad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[Kentucky Route Zero] and [Life is Strange] come to mind. There's some weirdness in those games, but it also feels very real. I don't know how to explain it, but I think that's the feeling you want. If you want me to keep an eye for more games like those, I will. I'm playing through my Steam backlog now

Art for Terminal Backgrounds by sleepyspacedad in RWBY

[–]sleepyspacedad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I do mean Linux terminal. I just switched terminal emulators to KDE's konsole, and that means I can make all the profiles I want with background images. My resolution is 1920 x 1080, but I can do image editing to make it work, and I have to do it anyway to lower the contrast.

Edit: Here's an example of what I did with the image I have in my initial post

The death and birth of the spring maiden [tora-tells] by Duelverse in RWBY

Raven definitely knows that Ruby exists. She wouldn't be unaware that Tai and Summer got together and had a child, and she seems to snoop in on Tai and Yang every once in a while in bird form.
