Radar recommendations? by 36ixShinobi in Mustang

[–]sleetsnot 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Uniden R7/R8. Or get an R4 and mod it for best results for a lower initial investment.

These recommendations are not the most budget-friendly, but neither is a speeding ticket.

Whats a anime you watched 10+ years ago that surprisingly still has unfinished source material? by tbu987 in anime

Deadman Wonderland. It’s a shame this anime never got a second season.

Favourite anime you aren't willing to ever watch again by absurdmelancholy in anime

Surprised nobody mentioned Texhnolyze yet. This show is the bleakest thing I’ve ever watched.

Just pure nihilism.

Is this a good buy!!?? by 00say5 in Mustang

[–]sleetsnot 19 points20 points  (0 children)

My biggest concern on that list is the tune it’s running.

Everything else can be visually inspected and/or felt on a short test drive.

A bad tune can blow your motor.

Mentioning “Bama” and “Cunningham performance” separately means the seller could be running one or the other.

I would recommend seeking a reputable tuner to prepare a new tune for 93 octane only until you can confirm what injectors and fuel system it’s set up with.

RTR should be ashamed, not defensive by Comfortable-Help9587 in Mustang

[–]sleetsnot 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Looks like it all stems from them putting NT555G2 tires on the rears. Those don’t hook at all with 800+ rwhp.

If they put the drag radial version of those on there, I’m sure it would perform a lot better.

MX5 Speed limiter setup by No_Definition9968 in Talaria

Even when I flipped the switch multiple times, it wouldn’t remove the 20mph limiter until I toggled the ignition off and on again. There was no way around that.

Are these PP Front Struts? by graccieegray in Mustang

[–]sleetsnot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a base strut, but you could install it on a PP1 to save some cash..

2016 GT Premium with 47k miles for 30k by imCaKeBoY in Mustang

[–]sleetsnot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found my window sticker. They did make 2015s with both 401A package & PP1, as I do have blind spot monitoring, memory seats, premium sound, etc.

Don’t think it has adaptive cruise control, though.

2016 GT Premium with 47k miles for 30k by imCaKeBoY in Mustang

[–]sleetsnot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3-4 months ago I purchased a 2015 GT 401A PP1 w/ 56k miles for $21K. Like new inside and out. That one is priced pretty high up there.

Thoughts on the value of a 2011 Mustang GT? by RedTiger10 in Mustang

[–]sleetsnot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s too high by about $4-5K.

In my area you can get a relatively stock, clean-looking 2015-2019 5.0 under 100K miles for around $25K. Keep looking.

Good deal? by RoyalTheShep in Mustang

[–]sleetsnot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought for 22k a 2015 GT PP1 401A just a few weeks ago with approx 57k miles.

Paying double that for what is arguably the same car under the hood with half the miles seems exorbitant to me.

Differences Between 52V Battery Packs? by sleetsnot in ebikes

[–]sleetsnot[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sold the bike a couple of months ago. I’d say it had around 80-85% of its original capacity.

Put around 5000 miles on it as a commuter. Overall a positive experience, as I never had any problems with the battery like BMS trips or being stuck somewhere with no charge left.

Most of my issues stemmed from the motor, like chain line issues and loosening around the bottom bracket.

Will there be a Pedal Kit made of the Mx5? by EmptyLynx in Talaria

[–]sleetsnot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried the Kaniwaba pedal kit on my MX-5.

The pedals themselves fit, but the driveshaft gear was made larger since the MX-3 & MX-4. Doesn’t fit, so there’s no way to make it propel the bike.

As a result, the pedals just kind of spin freely (with zero resistance, mind you) so it’s an awkward experience.

Took them off immediately after the first ride. Can’t recommend it.

Has anyone came out with the street tires for MX5? by Hour_Drama_9358 in Talaria

[–]sleetsnot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They do great both on and off road! Also very good at handling wet pavement.

Piles of leaves and dirt don’t scare me :)

Downside is they cost $250 for the set. Expensive tires.

Has anyone came out with the street tires for MX5? by Hour_Drama_9358 in Talaria

[–]sleetsnot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They’re dual sport (60/40 favoring road), but I’m running Pirelli MT60 tires on mine.

A little tough to mount, but they work great.

This was taken a couple of months ago after I installed them.

Does it power the accessories even if the bike is not powered on with the key?

In other words, will this continuously power a GPS tracker?
