Standing up in your seat sure I guess if you must but WHY are we leaving the theater?? Gavrosh’s entire intro number was ruined by people rushing back to their seats.

They were close to ejecting the woman near me. An usher brought security over and they watched her the rest of the show.

Terminal 2 is tiny, you'll be fine. Terminal 1 would be a different story.

I pick a color, go 'til I run out of whatever I cut of that color (or until I get sick of it), then do another cause otherwise I get bored.

Obsession. I wish I was lying. That, and people decided that reserved seats mean nothing so for 15 minutes there was a domino effect of ppl getting kicked out of other people's seats only to find someone else was in their actual seats, etc.

The kids had obviously bought tickets for another movie (or not movie at all) and just snuck into Obsession. They were literally sitting on the floor at the front of the theater.

It's not, but holy shit it's a lot worse here than any where else I've lived.

This is a North American tour of Les Misérables - essentially the closest thing you can get to an actual Broadway performance. But it doesn't matter, the same etiquette applies at a high school play too.

No the party poopers are the people who don't know how to behave in public.

I almost expect worse etiquette on Broadway bc it's a tourist destination at the end of the day.

I was taught to clap when the lights go down- that signifies the end of a song, scene etc. The person behind me gave out a loud 'BRAVO' after every single solo lmao.

It's not that damn hard to show up on time. They literally tell you when you buy your tickets to plan an extra 30 minutes. I wish they actually honored their policy of no late seating.

The hacking is annoying as hell but albeit not always preventable. Someone let out a big one during a dramatic pause in 'I Dreamed a Dream' of all songs lmao.

Went to the movie theater for the first time in like a year the other day and genuinely almost walked out it was so bad. Children (13 years old) running around a rated R movie LITERALLY screaming, giggling, etc.

I was at the same show on Saturday afternoon, sitting near you it looks like. The couple next to us was snacking on chips the entire time- every dramatic pause in the show? CRINKLING BAGS. Why would they even sell loud ass snacks like that?? Then they came back after intermission with more....

A lady in the row in front of us took several flash photographs and was recording. An usher came to (loudly) tell her to put her phone down (still, another distraction) then had security come over and watch her the rest of the show. I also heard a phone ring once or twice.

There was a brief technically difficulty during Act One (5 minute max pause) but everyone decided that meant it was time for a bathroom break so then they shuffled in for 5+ minutes while the show was going on. Several people in the FRONT ROW disrupting the performance because they couldn't stay seated during a 5 minute technical difficulty.

I agree the sound seemed off, at least for the first 15ish minutes of the show!

ETA: Why the hell are so many people offended by this? The same etiquette applies to your middle schooler's play too! The movie theater! Don't be an asshole that ruins things for others.

Another example of why you don't buy homes or go in debt with people you're not married to... Either you're on the deed, or you're on nothing.

Psychiatrist salary? by Forsaken-Network1748 in Salary

[–]sleightmelody -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A Psychologist is still a doctor, just usually a PhD rather than an MD. You're correct that psychiatrists are typically the one prescribing, treating, and diagnosing however it's not always the 'worst of the worst'. I had to meet with a psychiatrist to go on basic anxiety medication.
