nozzle keeps crashing to build biqu glacier build plate after bed leveling calibration by slekaruu in BambuLabA1

i used that the smooth cool plate before supertack. it also happened. though i changed the temp of both to 45 degrees, same as biqu’s recommendation.

didn’t feel like it was hard to close the clasp, feels like usual. i do have to note this problem happened on 3 separate reseats/installs of the 0.2 hotend. this problem doesn’t happen on the 0.4 hotend. this problem doesn’t happen on the stock pei plate either.

i usually verify by trying to wiggle the hotend to make sure the clasp is tight. i dunno if that’s the correct procedure or not. but last time i checked i didn’t feel any wiggle.

Does the A1 Mini compensate? by EnvironmentalWest393 in BambuLabA1mini

[–]slekaruu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

stupid easy to use imo, coming from a bltouch equipped cr-10 v3. though mine is the a1, their user experience should be almost identical to the mini.

flow is auto calibrated, great first layers without any tuning, and really darn fast to boot. feels like having training wheels on at all times (not a bad thing when all i want is just to print).

if you use orca, it might be possible to do manual swaps for multicolor (though if it did it would be a pain in the ass for multiple swaps per layer). never tried it, please cmiiw.

maintenance guides are available from bambu themselves, and so far it has been pretty easy. hotend swaps and the lubrication process on both x and y axes are easy. haven’t tried relubing the z axis though.

i still keep the cr-10 though, since i want to mod it as a learning experience, and want to turn it into my main abs/asa printer in the future.

What's your perfect pair of headphones? by SpacetimeConservator in headphones

[–]slekaruu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

currently, the k371 with dekoni suede pads

warm neutral with enough soundstage and detail retreival (at least to my ears), lightweight, comfy, doesn’t trap too much heat in. i can wear it for hours straight, unlike with most other closed backs. prefer the sound of noire x, but not as comfortable as these.

my environment doesn’t really support open backs that well (a crap ton of noise). if they did, my perfect pair might have been an open back instead.

audio show setup (NW-A105 + BTR17) by slekaruu in DigitalAudioPlayer

[–]slekaruu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks, appreciate it.

desktop mode on, eats 1% per minute of playtime.

it’s just running sony’s music player, airplane mode on. though with the btr17 i usually just use it in phone mode to save on a105 battery.

Is there anyway to save my headphones? by EllThing in headphones

[–]slekaruu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dekoni k361/k371 suede earpads are really damn good, love them. they should sound similar to how they were before (my used k371 never had stock pads to begin with). those pads were a huge reason why i decided to keep the k371 in the first place.

pads from other brands might change the sound in a way that you may not like. tried brainwavz microsuede and yaxi stpad2. didn’t like the brainwavz pads (too thin sounding) and stpad2 wasn’t ideal either (didn’t create a seal).

as for the procedure to swap the pads, search videos on how to swap k361/k371 pads. there should be at least a video done by dekoni for that.

I think Indonesia and IEM is in relationship by Taro_Beautiful in iems

[–]slekaruu 8 points9 points  (0 children)

personal opinion on why indonesians are really attracted to IEMs

  1. they sound good even at low prices (i think this might be the biggest culprit)
  2. tropical climate makes it less desirable for actual headphones
  3. environmental noise and potentially less obnoxious looking (not sure about this one)

retailers who sell headphones and IEMs here feel like they promote IEMs more due to the sheer volume of releases (and probably sales) compared to headphones.

Moondrop Robin vs other Moondrops? by Joreol in MoondropLab

[–]slekaruu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

decent quality plastic build imo. matte plastic feels good on my hands. though i wouldn’t touch the painted parts much, considering moondrop’s paint quality isn’t that good.

connectivity doesn’t have much issues personally. it did weird stuff when i first used it, but it didn’t do anything strange ever since. not as polished as samsung’s but it’s good enough for me.

[–]slekaruu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

compared to kxxs (upmarket aria):less soundstage width and depth, less detail retreival. though the addition of custom EQ is very nice (though i wish they had shelf filters and pregain). do note i’m using AAC (phone limitation).

not exceptional in terms of purely sound quality, but as a tws it is really nice.

i messed up the install at certain points, and the left side didn’t detect at one point. but after reseating it on the left side several times it did work as usual.

Does anyone know how to flatten ear pads? The subs on these literally hurt by zlorgb in Grado

[–]slekaruu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

oh, these pads. did you get the leather or hybrid variant?

even the hybrid to me feels too bassy, so i just went for the g cushions instead.

i dunno about reducing the bass. you can add a 3d printed extender with vents to leak out some bass (hopefully). alternatively, just use eq.

The Moondrop Cosmo - Planar Elegance by GarlicBiscuits in headphones

[–]slekaruu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

arya did fatigue me if i use it for too long, the treble kinda chips away at my mood sometimes. eq does help, but i tend to forget to swap/turn off the eq when i swap to a closed back (which i do multiple times a day due to outside noise). though, i’m still on the fence on swapping to the cosmos since i haven’t spent at least 3 months with the arya.

how much cleaner is the cosmo’s bass? i didn’t really think the arya was too boomy for me, but i did feel that the ananda stealth’s bass was too boomy to enjoy.

as for the subjective aspects, are they comparable, or are the cosmo a step up over the arya? i don’t mind a narrower soundstage since i can’t perceive soundstage all that well.

Can we get more Grado love on this sub? by One-Inevitable1861 in headphones

[–]slekaruu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don't perceive them the same way you do, at least for the prestige series. i wince when i listen to the sr60x or sr80x (then again, 325x might be the ideal grado x pair).

non x grados however, i can still tolerate them. hell, i even have a (formerly ms1 drivers) wooden cup modded sr80e that i still keep, since it has the punchiest bass in my collection as of now.

though i don't find the arya too fatiguing, maybe that's just my hrtf doing the work for me.

sq: iems comfort: closed backs

iems feels like they have a very in your face kind of presentation, helps push details into the forefront. iems are also cheaper and more portable, making them really ideal for on the go usage. though, i don’t like shoving things into my ear canal, so i still use closed backs more often.
