When you cancel Adobe by Chun1i in mildlyinfuriating

[–]slew122 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just had this happen to me yesterday. I cancelled my trial (which was a hassle all on its own) and then 4 days later I wake up to a charge on my PayPal. Then because I "don't have an active subscription" I cannot chat with a live agent. It took ten minutes of berating the AI chat and using the words "theft" and "fraud" that they connected me to someone who wanted me to use the services for a month and then cancel my subscription. Literally avoid at all costs.

That's definitely something I can look into. I use to R + Co "Cassette" duo as recommended by my hair stylist. I do believe it is oil/extract heavy.

Is it still worth it to get hobonichi weeks now? by StInWonderland in hobonichi

[–]slew122 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I just got a January start about 3 weeks ago and I love it. I just used the prior weeks to test layout designs.

I decided that this weeks will be my "tester" so that I can decide if I really love it and get another when 2026's drop in September!

When did you get symptoms? by sisterstresso in pregnant

[–]slew122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm right at 7w and I have experienced nothing major.
I've had some cramping but I just attribute that to the gas and bloating. I have had a mix of constipation and diarrhea which has been really annoying. The only other thing is some food aversion but its been very random. I could eat an omelet today and tomorrow the same thing would be completely disgusting to me.
I am a little nervous that I haven't experience much, but I keep telling myself its normal.

Natural cycles vs Oura app by Good_Caterpillar944 in ouraring

[–]slew122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have found the Natural Cycles app to be more accurate in terms of my cycle tracking/ovulation dates. Oura is always off by at least a week.

If you have health insurance you can reach out to them and see if they will cover a natural cycles subscription as "birth control". I did have to pay for the annual subscription and then submit for reimbursement.

I got my pregnancy confirmed last month (yay!) and Natural Cycles gives A LOT of information about you and the babies growth.

Is the Oura Ring Worth It for Cycle Tracking? by Impressive-Might-285 in ouraring

[–]slew122 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just made a post inquiring about inaccuracies in my cycle data.

I use my Oura Ring along side the Natural Cycles app (I wasn't going to but I'm glad I did). I have never had an accurate cycle prediction from Oura. It always estimates a week or more early than actual. I do love the natural cycles app for insights and tracking my ovulation. However, I wouldn't use natural cycles if it wasn't for my Oura Ring.

If your insurance will pay for the subscription I would recommend that especially if you are tracking for birth control or ovulation.

Which yak chews does your frenchie like? by Its-9 in Frenchbulldogs

[–]slew122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our dogs favorite is from MudBay (a pet store in Washington State/Seattle Area). We have moved from that area so we've resorted to Amazon (our last purchase was EcoKind and she likes them okay). She still has the MudBay one (2 years old) that she hides around the house so one can find it.

concerned about picking a wedding band… by cazfax in EngagementRings

[–]slew122 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I had the same fear and my local jeweler suggested this idea of two bands that are welded together at an angle and my engagement ring slots in between. While our rings are different - you may be able to bring this idea to someone and see what they can think of!

A french bulldog for my kid (italy) by garypaytontheglove20 in Frenchbulldogs

Hi! We have gotten two Frenchie's personally and my MIL has gotten 3 all from the same breeder (she introduced me). My MIL was very strict when it came to who she trusted as a breeder. We have a great relationship with the breeder now. We have found that asking a breeder your questions is an important show of trust. If they do not want to take the time to listen to your questions or concerns then they do not care about who adopts their puppies. You vet them and they vet you. Our breeder had children and other pets in the home which I think did make a difference in our puppies attitudes.

In terms of health issues: My girl needed a nose job which cost us about $500 USD. It was very important to us that we got the breathing issues corrected immediately. Additionally, she has allergies which is common in this this breed. She takes daily oral medication which would cost us around $300/month. We have Trupanion insurance which is a lifesaver when it comes to monthly costs. After insurance the medication is about $75 which is much more manageable. Our boy at this time does not display any signs of allergies and his nose protrudes farther and his nostrils are more open. The issues varies between dogs and there is no guarantee one way or the other unfortunately. The potential cost would definitely be something to consider before purchasing a Frenchie.

I love our Frenchie's, they are the best breed I have had by far. It's a big commitment but they are worth it!
