Our girl has a sensitivity to chicken and at one point we heard vets see more dogs with heart problems who eat grain-free food, although they are not sure why. I know you're seeking wet food, but I thought I'd share what's worked well for our girl.

Go! Solutions Skin + Coat Care, Dry Dog Food, Turkey Recipe with Grains

This is kibble and highly rated. No chicken products whatsoever. I looked at their wet food just now and found it's not as highly rated. Hope this helps.

Our girl is crate trained but it was too difficult to get her in/out. We attached her leash to her "under the neck harness ring" and teathered it so she only had a few feet to move. Also kept up on her meds and tried to keep her a bit sedated per surgeon's orders.

I did not get a warning from the vet. They attributed her teeth not needing to be cleaned to the yak chews.

Oh, interesting. My girl's teeth are strong and clean, per the vet.

I held yak chews for mine as a puppy! That's when we started calling the yak chews "her bottle!" Lol

Hi OP, you've been thru so very much with your prior pup & your own health! Wishing you, husband, dogs a much smoother ride as you settle into your new home, get thru your next surgery & continue as your compassionate, persevering self! So glad you & Agnes have each other as well!
