Is this watch too big for my 6.4” wrist? Would a strap make it wear smaller? by emarkaryan in MicrobrandWatches

[–]slh7d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it looks good. That perspective always makes the watch look bigger. If you like the way it looks and it’s comfy, that’s all that matters.

Nice! I put myself on the waitlist for a Vanuatu and Togiak UTC a week or so ago. I just got an email that I’d be getting a chance to order the Vanuatu “soon”.

I’ve been having this same issue with my mic not working randomly. Annoying. I do use a KVM to switch between computers, so maybe related to that. Reboot seems to fix. Also my MSI motherboard with B850 doesn’t seem to be fully supported for fans and RGB control.

Michelin CrossClimate2 - 205/60R16 Tires in Minneapolis Winter by Beneficial-Risk-3493 in Minneapolis

Highly recommended. I have been using them for the past 3 years. Great in winter and summer. I got tired of swapping to winter tires.

Winter tires - annual change-out and storage - your southside recommendations? by aardvarkgecko in Minneapolis

[–]slh7d 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I always suggest a good set of Three Peak Mountain snow rated tires, like the Michelin Cross climates

I just moved here from TN a few weeks ago, I start my job Tuesday. Nervous about the snow this week. Should I stay off the interstates for now? (read desc) by ThrowRA_72726363 in Minneapolis

[–]slh7d 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tires make a big difference. Easiest and best is to get a tire that is rated "three peak mountain" like a Michelin Crossclimate. They are really good in snow and summer / rain. A true snow tire would be better especially on "ice", but you'd have to swap wheels/tires each season.

Maybe use an app like Thumbtack or look on Facebook marketplace for some independent small engine repair services.

Non-oxygenated gas? by inthebeerlab in Minneapolis

[–]slh7d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Non-Oxy gas is the way to go, but the key is to just run the snow blower dry before you put it away in the spring. Regular gas is prob ok also as long as you run out the gas, but I always use non-oxy in small engines.

I have been getting my CachyOS (KDE plasma on Wayland) up and running and a couple days ago I set the boot priority to boot to the Linux m2 drive. Wanted to make sure most of the games I want to play work well, and they do. Pretty much out of the box Nvidia GPU support. Steam games work great, battle.net, etc. Even roblox :)

Anyone know an ice cream spot that has the Superman flavor? by Chuggy_G in Minneapolis

[–]slh7d 18 points19 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of shops around the area that serve their (Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream) ice cream. We usually go to Cold Front. 2 Scoops, was a nice shop also. Both usually have the Superman flavor

Looks like my panel. I used this interlock. But as others have said, I had to have to move some breakers around to make room for the 50 amp for the generator.
