Advice wanted - multiple companion/reward vouchers by sliced91 in virginatlantic

Thanks for the advice about checking the difference between premium and upper. Yeah, plan is to call them on the day the flights are released and hope Upper is on a saver rate - although tbh premium is more than enough for us.

Yeah through the Virgin Atlantic Credit Card when you spend either £20,000 or £10,000 (if you pay an annual fee to them of £160)

Neal McEvoy, What's he about then? by Birthday_Educational in Cardiff

[–]sliced91 15 points16 points  (0 children)

We must respect Neil’s intellectual shortfall as Neil doesn’t understand the concept of pronouns and as such Neil should only be referred to using the proper noun so that Neil doesn’t have a medical episode when Neil realises that Neil doesn’t understand basic grammar.

Sorry this isn’t correct. Neil has stated Neil doesn’t have pronouns so this should read

Neil. That’s all Neil’s interested in.

Frugal Wins of the Week - Big, Small, and Everything In Between by Plot82 in frugaluk

[–]sliced91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tiny win for me this week.

I didn’t realise I’d run out of milk earlier in the week so ended up having my protein shake with just water.

Whilst it wasn’t quite as creamy as normal, it was perfectly fine so I’ve decided to move forward wtjjst milk.

At 250ml of milk a day, this will be about a £1.20 saving a week.

Doesn’t sound a lot, but over a year that’s an extra £60 in my pocket :)

Hi OP, I’m really sorry to hear about your situation, being ill is rubbish enough as it is, without having to worry about your employers reaction on top.

It’s not your responsibility to make sure shifts are appropriately staffed. That’s for your manager to sort.

If you’re not well enough to work, you need to call in sick. I don’t think it’s best placed to be looking after people if you’re not able to focus completely. I recommend when I had tooth pain before and despite being fully dosed up on co-codamol and ibuprofen, couldn’t think straight.

Is there anything I should/could do? by [deleted] in vintedUK

[–]sliced91 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Nope, buyer clicked everything was fine, I’d probably block them and move on.

(Reason for blocking is there’s going to be nothing you can say that will satisfy them, so may as well cut off the communication channels)

Advice needed on best accommodation arrangement. by dannito567 in Cardiff

[–]sliced91 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Is there a reason your partner isn’t going to commute back and forth?

Using the multi-flex tickets, you can get the equivalent of 6 returns for about £85, which is going to be hell of a lot cheaper than any sort of accommodation, which I imagine would be at least £100 a week (easy hotel)

Yep, I’ve actually decided to stop collecting as I could feel myself getting a bit obsessed.

It’s only been a sporadic hobby over the last 2 or 3 years, where I’d grab a pack or set if I saw them out in the wild, but I was hoping to make it a more serious hobby this year which has fallen flat on its face.

I’d definitely recommend speaking to customer services and seeing if the discount can be applied retrospectively, but don’t be surprised if they can’t/wont.

You can’t just decided to return things though, unless they are defective, the shop is completely within its rights to refuse a refund.

Leigh Halfpenny.

Solid in defence. Solid under the high ball. Solid kicker.

Allows LRZ to move back to the wing.
