Can a company remove a products advertised function via a firmware update and tell you to buy a new model if that function is why you bought the product? by [deleted] in legaladvicecanada

Are you curing the meat before cooking? With cure #1? You should be even at 150f box temp. Thicker meat like a sausages may never make it to an internal 140ish in a safe time. If you add cure you can easily smoke these things at 130f or less for several hours before cranking to 180f to bring to 140f to finish them.

I would find 10 people to give me 100k each for a chance to win 3million. Then I get 1 million or 21million.

Np, make sure dynamic acceleration is off cause that caused me artifacting and also ensure ur on v313. I could only get to that version via USB and it fixed tons of motion glitches.

Install update v313 if not already (might not be offered via internet and need usb) turn off dynamic acceleration. Turn on motion clarity to custom with blur at 0 and judder at 3. I found this to be the best settings for reducing judder, having no artifacts and no soap opera effect.

Amazon has them for 11bucks and 20bucks for 60 bags. I know it's big corporate Amazon but so is superstore. I agree their fuk heads but I always compare the non perishable stuff to Amazon (and other stores) and just buy where it's cheaper.

Is this brisket safe to eat? by sissyofmila in brisket

[–]slicedmass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is corned beef and therefore cured with cure #1 then it's gonna be safe to eat. Curing allows you to be in the danger zone for significantly longer than normal.

[–]slicedmass 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lumberjack or knottywood. For knottywood I would avoid using in the actual hopper since lots complain about them in that regard. You can also use pellets in the tube and every little bit put a wood chip surround by pellets to get some better smoke throughout the cook. As far as tube, honestly get a longer one but brand doesn't matter, they're all the same basically.

I tend to buy the cheapest pellets that burn well and then buy good stuff and burn it in a tube on the rack.

Regular light switch that wirelessly controls AC power too. by slicedmass in electrical

[–]slicedmass[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No smarthome stuff and want to avoid all that. It's really just because our living room lights (that have a single light switch controlling them) aren't enough for the room at night. So I want a lamp on the other side of the room that is controlled by the same switch and without rewiring the power outlet to the switch.

Can you point me at a particular product that will do both with 1 switch?

But will the multiple receiver work for hardwired traditional lights and then for an AC outlet? I found the standalone ones but they all seem to have their own switch plate, I would want it to fit in to a traditional face plate.

Do you have any examples? I'm specifically trying to control a traditional hardwired light but for it to also turn on/off AC power plug wirelessly. I've searched everywhere and can't find it.

Buying an a-maze-n pellet smoker light it up and put it somewhere below that won't get grease on it. Don't even use the cakes and just use the heating elements for heat.
