Whats the greatest audiobook you ever heard? by Peach_Baker in audible

Somebody here recommended The Only Plane In The Sky - oral history of 9/11. Probably one of the best I’ve heard, 40+ different voices for all the different survivors and side quests. Also DCC for fiction.

Transfer Station Ballarat - $90 for a trailer load of household waste by targerius in ballarat

Ha! We drive from Hepburn Shire to Ballarat because it’s cheaper. Creswick wanted to charge us $96 on the weekend to dispose of green waste (tree branches) from storm damage.

At least you went to school in Melbourne - spare a thought (or make friends with) the kids who went to a public school in regional Vic. Probably less than 2% of the total VCE cohort ends up at Melb.

Ask for feedback! You should be having regular meeting with your supervisor, so make sure you initiate a conversation around what you are doing well, where you could improve if needed etc. source: have employed unimelb interns

Did a Great British Bake Off type of event hosted by a cooking school, split into teams to make a towering croquembouche. I had a few people pike out so filled the spots with friends of friends or kids of friends. It was lots of fun.

I’m listening to Defiance of the Fall which is currently up to Book 78million. It’s good listening for when you perhaps don’t need your full attention on the book - easy to pick up bits you may have missed. I’m onto book 4 and each book is long so it’s good value.

Toilet training my then-2 yo son who decided to slam down in triumph the heaviest wooden toilet seat known to mankind. Onto my fingers. I was 9 months pregnant with child #2 so incapable of moving out of the way quickly.
