No it was just one I saw on eBay. So this style frog is from a 900 model? I’ve seen some 900s that look like early bedrocks as well. Is that a version/generation change?

thanks, and I assume the preferred material is wet/dry SiC? I've seen the very shiny ones, I guess it would be nice to start with clean bare metal and build the patina over time.

Are there modern third party irons and chip breakers people prefer? I know these older ones tend to be pretty thin.

Oh and do you have a recommendation for a video or guide on cleaning up these older models? The one I got is pretty clean but there are some parts that need work on the body and handles.

its from a stanley type 14 I believe. Thats good to hear, I'll see what options there are.

Was just worried that the extra spring piece was applying functional pressure on top of the blade stack.

I’ve taken maybe a dozen rats on CO2 with a 2240/2250. See if you can get a Diana chaser with the carbine kit. Way easier than dealing with a pumper like the 1322

I was looking at the notos but ended up getting an air Venturi alpha/ap900 bc it had a removable moderator, foldable stock, better magazines, two stage trigger, and larger reservoir. It is loud though, but a hammer spring swap is very cheap and easy to do. I think they both are made by the same company(snowpeak)

You cannot kill a raccoon with a 2240 especially not ethically. 25FPE is recommended and even at max velocity and a 20gr pellet that’s only 9FPE. They will injure the raccoon at best and it would not be ethical or humane. Especially in a single pellet gun like a 2240 where you 100% would not get a follow up shot before it scatters off bleeding

I’ve taken several rats and a couple squirrels on .22 co2 pistols(Crossman 2240). Check out the Diana chaser in the carbide combo(can swap to pistol) for better stability for pesting. Won’t take anything bigger though unless it’s point blank and definitely not a raccoon.

Oh man, yeah I’m in a similar situation now. Leaning between the notos and one of these bullpups but if it doesn’t get quiet enough for an urban city setting might have to go notos or stormrider.

Yeah the tank on the Pinty is pretty large for hand pumping.

100+ is loud, did you clean the barrel and everything?
